木材 및 木質材料의 휨 加工技法을 이용한 産業木工藝品 開發에 관한 硏究

다변화, 다양화되어 가는 현대인의 공예문화에 대한 관심은 재료, 형태 적인 측면과 실용적인 측면, 기능적인 면을 적절히 구비한 공예품으로 기울어지고 있다. 특히, 재료의 다양한 활용에 대한 부분은 제작 및 새로 운 기법의 개발로 발전할 수 있으며, 이는 곧 우수한 공예품의 개발로 이어져 저변확대에도 긍정적인 역할을 할 수 있다. 목재를 이용하여 곡선형태를 표현하는 장르는 예부터 가구디자인을 비 롯하여 여러 가지 민속공예품, 토산 공예품 등에 널리 시도되어 왔고, 또 한 제작되기도 하였다. 그러나 과거에는 목재의 제재기술과 방법, 기계의 낙후성 등으로 그 표현에 한계가 있었으나 현대에 와서는 대량생산을 위 한 재료의 무한공급, 발전된 기술, 우수한 기계 등으로 목재의 휨 가공 표현이 수월해 졌다. 본고에서는 목재의 무늬와 고유문양을 최대한 활용하여 산업공예품을 개발, 제작하고자 하며, 목재의 휨 가공기법을 이용함으로서 재료의 절감 효과, 휨 가공기법의 새로운 시도, 목재특유의 색채와 질감표현을 극대화 시키고자 한다. 작품의 소재는 현대인들이 여가생활의 한 축으로 자리 잡은 관광과 레 저, 각종 문화예술축제, 지역적 특성을 살린 이벤트성 행사 등의 성격과 부합되는 관광공예품, 여러 가지 산업공예품 등을 대상으로 선택하였다. 작품에 이용된 문양과 무늬는 한국의 전통문양 중 가장 대중적이고 한 국의 이미지를 직접 전달할 수 있는 자연물의 응용문양, 식물문양, 한국 의 탈 문양 등을 현대적 감각에 맞게 재구성하였으며 형태와의 조화를 위해 목재의 고유색채와 무늬를 최대한 살려 활용하였다. 문양의 제작기법은 목공용 레이저 조각기의 다양한 활용, 목재 상감기 법, 접목기법 등을 이용하였으며, 대량생산을 위하여 수공예에 의존하지 않고 목공용 기계를 최대한 사용하였다. 결구구조는 전통적인 연귀맞춤 Today's interest in craft culture, which is changing and varying rapidly, is mainly for its material, formative aspect and practical aspect, that is to say, the craft product with its functionality. Among other things, various application of material could be led to development of new technique, which would ultimately be led to development of quality craft product so that it would play positive role for its popularization. Common examples of genre that expresses curving shape with wooden materials include furniture design, various customs craft product, and local craft product in the past. However, it had limitation in expression due to its wood material manufacturing techniques and methods and poor machinery condition. Today it's a lot easier to bending processing of wooden materials since now we have abundant materials providing for mass production, developed techniques and advanced machinery. This study is to present ways of creating industrial craft product, making the best use of wood texture and its unique pattern, and to reduce the amount of materials with the help of the bending processing, to try new method of bending processing, and to maximize the expression of the unique color and texture of wood. For subjects of artwork, I've selected tour craft products and other industrial craft products that come with tour and leisure, which many people usually enjoy during their free time, various culture and art festivals, local events and so on. For pattern and shape, I've re-organized in modernized way applied pattern from nature, plant pattern, Korean mask pattern and so on, which could deliver the most popular and Korean image. 朝鮮朝 金屬 裝錫 形態를 應用한 木造形 家具디자인 硏究

가구의 형성은 인간이 도구를 사용하기 시작하고 정착생활을 하면서 기물을 보과하기 위한 수단으로 제작되었다 해야 할 것이다. 정착생활로 씨족사회가 형성되고 대가족화 되면서 도구의 발달과 함께 목재를 사용하게 되었고 이로 인해 목가구가 형성되기 시작하였다. 이러한 가구의 사용은 곡물, 의복, 귀중품 등을 보관하게 되고 朝鮮時代의 목가구는 기능, 의장, 조형적인 측면에서 눈부신 발전을 하게 된다. 이러한 가구의 발달과 함께 가구에 부착하는 裝錫도 초기의 기능적인 형식에서 벗어나 목재의 수축과 팽창을 막는 구조적 보강의 목적과 함께 목재와 완전한 조화를 이룬 裝飾的인 면에서 가구의 격을 한층 더 높인 아름다운 조선조가구를 탄생시켰다. 조선조가구에 부착하는 金屬裝錫은 形態와 紋樣에서 여러 가지의 종류를 볼 수 있는데 크게 경첩, 앞바탕, 감잡이 귀장식, 광두정, 들쇠, 고리 등으로 나눌 수 있으며 이러한 종류에서도 각각의 쓰임새에 따라 여러 가지의 形態와 紋樣으로 나누어 진다. 裝錫의 형태와 문양은 自然을 주제로 하여 생활주변의 동물, 식물 등을 조형성 있게 표현하였으며 종교적인 미의식과 인간의 본질적인 壽福康寧과 富貴多男등 가정의 안녕과 화목을 주제로 하여 의미 있게 표현하였고, 조선후기에 와서는 金屬裝錫을 과다하게 사용한 경향이 없지 않지만, 紋樣의 변화와 기법의 발전을 이루었다. 가구는 본래 장식정보다는 기능성을 고려하여 만들어지고 사용하여 왔으며, 사회 구조의 변화로 인하여 사용자와 제작자들의 개성이 기능성과 예술성을 겸한 복합체로 발달하였다. 현대에는 좁은 공간에서 효율적으로 사용할 수 있고, 하나의 造形作品으로 감상할 수 있는 가구를 선호하게 되었으며 복잡한 도시생활에서 自然에 돌아 갈려고 하는 自然親和的인 현상이 일어나고 있다. 이처럼 현대의 목가구는 自然親和的인 造形形態와 함께 작가의 개성과 특징을 살린 一品위주의 造形家具로써 꾸준한 발전을 이루고 있으며, 가구를 제작하는데 필요한 재료선택의 폭도 넓어지고 재료가 가지고 있는 특성을 최대한 이용하게 되었다. 가구의 형태도 기존의 BOX 형식에서 탈피하여 전통에 기반을 둔 復古主義 적인 성향이 나타나고 있으며, 전통문화를 그대로 답습하지 않고, 우리문화의 특성을 形態뿐만 아니라 이미지와 상징성, 문화성 등을 현대적으로 재조명하여 작품에 응용하는 작업이 꾸준히 연구, 발전되고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 조선조 金屬裝錫의 역사적 고찰과 종류, 형태, 문양등을 조사 분석하고 형태와 문양등 각각의 의미를 이해함과 동시에 금속장석의 형태중 보상화형과 불로초형(실패형, 쌍버선형), 인동초형, 제비초리형의 특징과 조형성을 추출하여 작품에 응용시킴으로써 현대의 생활공간에 동화될 수 있는 새롭고 독창적이며, 국적 있는 목조형 가구를 디자인하였고, 기법적으로는 전통 조선조 가구의 結構法을 사용한 주먹장사개짜임, 숨은연귀촉짜임, 주먹장부촉짜임등 전통적인 가구제장 방식으로 제작하였으며, 품목으로는 젊은 소비자들의 기호에 부흥하기 위한 공간을 효율적으로 이용할 수 있는 조형적인 측면의 가구(장식장, 고비, CD장, 콘솔)와 전통조선조 가구를 사랑하고 애호하는 중년층을 위하여 간결한 線과 面의 구성을 통하여 이층장(애기장)을 디자인하였고 전통문화와 현대문화를 접목시켜 원목이 주는 自然親和的인 측면과 아름다움 木理를 이용한 목조형 가구를 디자인하는데 중점을 두었다. 이처럼 시대의 변천과 사용자의 기호에 맞추어 옛것을 답습하는데 그치지 않고, 서구문물의 무분별한 수입으로 인한 뿌리 없는 목가구를 지양하고 우리의 정서와 문화에 맞게 시대적, 사회적 요구에 부흥할 수 있는 우리들 자체의 노력이 지속되어야 하겠다. The furniture was made as the means for keeping the utensils as the man began to use the tools and instruments at the settlement. As the clan society and large family were formed, wood was used according to the development of instruments and wood furniture was formed. Such a furniture kept crops, clothes and valuables and in the age of Yi Dynasty, wood furniture achieved a remarkalble development in the side of its function, design and figurative feature. Feldspar which is attached to the furniture created the beautiful furniture of Yi Dynasty in the decorative side having the perfect harmony with wood as well as with the purpose of structural reinforcement which prevents the contraction and expansion of wood. Metal feldspar attached to the furniture of Yi Dynasty has the various types of patterns and designs and it can be greatly divided into hinge, front foundation, large metal staple, corner decoration and ring etc. and these are also divided by the variety of patterns and designs according to their uses. Form and pattern of feldspar express animals and plants around our life with the theme of nature, shows the stability and peace of the home with the essential happinessof the man and the religious aesthetics and achieved the chanes of patterns and the development of technique in the late period of Yi Dynasty. Furniture was made and used in consideration of its function rather than the decorativeness and it was developed to the complex having the function and artistry of the manufacturer due to the change of social structure. Recently, the use of large furniture has been reduced and the furniture which can be used effectively in narrow space and has the value of a figurative work for appreciation is preferred and there has been the nature-affinitive phenomena to return to the nature from the complicated urban life. The modern wood furniture has achieced the steady development as the figurative furniture having the artist's personality and features with the nature-affinitive figurative pattern, the width of selecitng the materials for manufacturing the furniture has been broadened and the charascteristics of materials are applied best. The furniture pattern also shows the reactionary trend based on the tradition, escaping from the existing box pattern, recognizes the image, symbolism and culture of our cultuer in a modern sense and the efforts to apply them to the works have been made continously. Accordingly, this study examines and analyzes the history, types, patterns and designs of medal feldspar of Yi Dynasty, extracts the features and figurative nature of Indongcho type and Jaebichori type of metal feldspar patterns, applies them to the modern linvign space, designs new, original and national wood furniture which cna be assimilated to the modern life, and in the side of technique and style, the traditional furniture manufacturing like Jumukjangsakae pattern, Sumunyonkwichok patter and Jumokjangkwichok yonkwi pattern is designed by applying the Kyulkubub of the furniture of Yi Dynasty. there are items like CD case and consol for the young people and Yichung furniture for the middle aged by the combination of the traditional and modern culture. Also it fucuses on designing the wood furniture using the nature-affinitive aspect and the principle of beautiful wodd. Rootless wood furniture imported indiscriminately should be sublated and our own efforts to meet the demands of the times and society should be continued.

木材 接合 技法 이용한 木造形 가구디자인 硏究

인간에게 있어서 주생활은 매우 중요한 위치를 차지한다. 단지 인간이 거주하고 휴식하는 공간에서 벗어나 경제적인 여유가 생길수록 안락함과 편안함 및 가시적인 만족을 주는 공간으로서의 위상이 커지고 있다. 따라서 현대인들은 주거공간에 대해 지대한 관심과 비용을 지불하면서자신의 삶을 보다 쾌적하고 편리하게 누리고자 노력해왔다. 아울러 그 주거 공간을 채우는 가구는 인간의 행위를 보다 안락하고 편안하며 능률을 향상시키기 위한 수단으로 사용된다. 또한, 수납기능과 미적 효과를 증대시키며 공간의 성격을 규정한다. 현대의 가구는 그 용도 기능에 따라 사용되는 재료가 매우 다양한데 목재는 그 재료가 풍부하고 주위에서 손쉽게 구할 수 있으며 가공도 용이하여 예로부터 거의 모든 종류의 가구에 목재가 사용되었다. 그러나 현대에 와서 도시의 거대화 빛 산림자원의 훼손 등으로 인해 산림 면적이 축소되면서 목재의 공급이 제한되고 가공 재료로 바뀜에 따라 가구소재의 부족현상이 초래되고 있다. 따라서 새로운 재료의 개발이나 기존재료의 활용에 대한 재검토가 필요한 시점이다. 이에 기존 가공목재의 특성을 분석하고 장, 단점을 추출하여 원목에 활용할 수 있는 방안으로 목재 접합기법을 제시하였으며 이러한 목재 접합기법에 대한 고찰과 현대 가구에 나타난 접합기법의 유형분석 및 기존 작가의 활용 사례를 바탕으로 전통 결구법과 접착제를 사용하여 좁은 판재를 접합시켜 넓은 판재로 활용한 새로운 조형의 일품가구를 제안하고자 한다. 본 작품연구에서는 이러한 사항들을 토대로 여러쪽의 목재를 접합하여 그 위에 홈을 파고 새끼를 꼬아 묶어 놓은 듯한 형태의 한국적 소재를 통한 전통적 미의식, 이념적 형상미를 현대적 조형감각으로 재조명하였으며 적극적인 접합구조 활용을 통하여 생산적인 측면과 미적 가치 향상이라는 이원적 측면에서 개발 가능성을 제시하였다. 가구의 형태는 주변에서 흔히 볼 수 있는 친근한 소재와 전통 사상에서 표출되는 이념적 형태를 결부시켰으며 작품 품목은 거실에서 주로 사용하는 장식장, 서랍장, CD장, 콘솔, 함 등을 연구대상으로 선정하였다. 주재료는 부빙가, 느티나무, 흑단 등을 사용하여 색상의 조화를 통한 미적 효과를 추구함으로써 조형가구로서의 차별화를 추구하였다. 아울러 목재 접합기법을 이용한 조형가구 디자인 연구는 새로운 기능성과 조형성 및 장식성을 겸한 복합적인 가구로서 앞으로도 지속적으로 끊임없는 연구가 이루어져야 할 것이다. The housing life is very important to man. Its status is increasingly important as the space where gives a comfort and a visible satisfaction rather than as the space merely for residence and rest as the man has more economic ability. Therefore, the modern people have made efforts to enjoy more comfortable and convenient life by paying the great interest and cost in the residential space. In addition, the furniture which fills the residential space is used as the means for improving its functions for comfort and convenience of the human life. It also increases the aesthetic effect and storage function and prescribes the nature of the space. The modern furniture has the variety of materials according to its uses and functions and especially wood material has been used for all kinds of furniture because it can be obtained easily and its process is easy. But, as the area of forest has been reduced due to the emergence of big city and the damage of forest resource and the supply of wood is limited and it has been replaced by processed materials, the shortage of furniture materials is resulted. Accordingly, the development of a new material and the reexamination of using conventional materials are required. This research analyzes the characteristics of conventional processed woods, extracts their strength and weakness, suggests the wood adhesion technique as the means for applying them to the timber and presents the furniture of a new style transforming narrow board into wide one by using traditional connection technique and adhesive on the basis of the investigation of wood adhesion technique and the analysis of adhesion techniques and other artists' application shown in the modern furniture. This research of works reviews the traditional aesthetics and the beauty of ideological shape through the Korean materials of the type like excavating and twisting the several pieces of wood into the modern figurative sense and also suggests the developmental potential in the dual sides of production and improving aesthetic value through the active utilization of adhesion style. The types of furniture connect the intimate materials around us to the ideological form expressed in traditional ideas and selects decorative furniture, drawer, CD case, console and cabinet used in living room as the objects of research. Major materials are Bubinga, zelkova abd ebony and the discrimination of figurative furniture is pursued by creating the aesthetic effects through the harmony of colors. Further the research of figurative furniture design using wood adhesion technique should be continued to make the complex furniture having a new function, figurative and decorative features.

새의 이미지를 이용한 목조형 연구

Furniture has changed the forms into the living tools functioning mainly for decoration as an interior spacial element partitioning living spaces and has a dominant position as an intermediate between dwelling space and man. Therefore, the use of materials from nature can be considered as an appropriate method in design of furniture. As we see, nature has taken an important role in furniture design, being an object of most interest and has been recreated into a new expression style passing through observation, imitation and transformation process. This study, thus, selecting bird which is a part of nature and easily seen around our life space and finding the potential symbolism out to understand properly the shape and image and reconstruct the meaning shown from bird figure into a three dimensional work, aims at designing of molding furniture along with modern sense of object works to provide man with pleasant interior space for human happiness and high quality life. The method of this study was to retract the emblematic meaning and the ideological background from various bird figures our ancestors used by preference and interpret it into a work. The meaning derived from bird figures are as follows. In the end, they are all the same in that they pray for human happiness and comfortable life by expressing human existence realistically or abstractly which comes from human natural instinct. In case of Korea, many different figures used since ancient times were analyzed to result from the thought of being blessed. The work 'throb' is to express the aloof spirit and elegance of a crane gracefully flapping which is a wooing gesture along with the sound of snow thawing in a mountain valley in the early spring. The supple and long curve drew from a crane standing makes us feel the grace and dynamics. The bird showing interest in the other sex also represent rhythmical beauty of life. How cannot the heart be beating high seeing a beautiful woman with the smell of spring? The design plan is, expressing the natural material or birds in a piece of work, to find and emphasize the symbolic meaning and the characteristics in its shape of birds and to bring the combination of the aesthetic senses out with the tradition, forms, human being and nature fusing into one. In addition, such things like chests, object are selected to be produced as a work in the basic concept of small furniture.
