        This study was intended to find out the effect of emotion dysregulation-mediated self-compassion on burnout. The relationship between public officials and self-compassion, emotion dysregulation and burnout was examined in the study by surveying 522 government employees in Daegue city using a scale representing each emotional state. The results of this study are summarized as follows: First, there was a negative correlation between self-compassion and emotion dysregulation, and a positive correlation between emotion dysregulation and burnout. Second, emotion dysregulation was found to play a mediating role. That is, self-compassion had an indirect effect on burnout through emotion dysregulation as well as a direct effect on it. The results of this study suggest that public officials’ emotion regulation problem have a negative impact on their mental health and job performance of their duty, so this makes the quality of public services reduce and furthermore this can lower the functional efficiency of the whole of society. In this regard, improving self-compassion of public officials makes emotion dysregulation drop and helps prevent and reduce burnout.

        Korean children and adolescents are experiencing constant stress due to high academic achievement pressure and insecure surroundings. In order to live a happy and free life, children and adolescence can believe in their own abilities and values, which is called self-esteem. Also, the ability to cope with stressful situations is referred to as "muscles of the mind", resilience. Resilience means the ability to overcome stress and difficulties and adapt to the surroundings successfully. It helps overcome stress or adversity through positive involvement and experience , as well as eliminate anxiety about difficult situation. The purpose of this study is to research the effect of fathering attitudes on self-esteem and resilience of elementary school children. This study is going to contribute to providing basic data for parents' counseling and educational program development by recognizing the importance of father' s role in child - rearing and finding desirable direction to increase self-esteem and resilience of children. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, a questionnaire survey was conducted on 5th and 6th grade male and female students at an elementary school in A city, Gyeongsangbuk - do. 215 students of the total 270 students, except 55 students who responded faithlessly are available. Reliability and validity, technical statistical analysis, one-way ANOVA, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis were performed by using SPSS 18.0 program for this data. The main results of the data analysis are as follows. attitude of independence encouragement and acceptance attitude have significant effects on self-esteem and resilience of children according to this resullt. This study can be meaningful because it considers both self-esteem and resilience which are useful psychological resources in the study which has not been studied so far. In addition, among the factors affecting children, it is very meaningful that father's parenting attitude plays an important role in self-esteem and resilience.

      • 간호대학생의 직업가치관과 소명의식이 진로태도성숙에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to verify the effects of career values and calling on career attitude maturity of nursing students. For this study, 266 nursing students of college and university in Daegu․Gyeongbuk were recruited. The study made use of career values inventory(Ministry of Labor, Korea Employment Information Service, 2006) for assessing career values, Korea version of the Calling and Vocation Questionnaire(CVQ-K)(Shim, Yerin, 2010) for assessing calling and the career attitude maturity inventory(Lee, Ki Hak, Han Jong Chul, 1997) for assessing career attitude maturity. Data analysis was performed using the SPSS 18.0 statistical data processing programs and multiple regression analyses were used to assess the relationships between the variables. The results of the study are as follows: First, socio-demographic analysis showed that there were significant differences in the career attitude maturity of nursing students according to the sex, grade and motivation for choosing career. There were no significant differences in career attitude maturity of nursing students according to ages and religions. Second, Career values of nursing students had a positive effects on the career attitude maturity in subfactor of career decisive ability, finality and readiness. On the contrary, subfactor of career values effected positive or negative influence on the subfactors of career attitude maturity. Among the subfactors of career values, accomplishment, service, job stability had a positive effect on career attitude maturity of nursing student and patriotism, financial compensation, indoor activity had a negative effect on the career attitude maturity. The study suggested that if the values of accomplishment, service, job stability and reputation, subfactors of career value, were considered to be worthy, career attitude maturity of nursing student could be improved. Finally, calling of nursing student had a positive effect on the career attitude maturity and on all the subfactor of decisive ability, finality, certainty, and readiness with the exception of independence. Data analysis of subfactor showed that transcendental calling-existence had a positive effect on decisive ability and finality, objective/ meaning- existence had a positive effect on decisive ability, finality, certainty, and readiness with the exception of independence and prosociality-existence had a positive effect on readiness. This result suggested that calling is the important predictor in career attitude maturity of nursing students, so it is necessary to help them to establish the objective and meaning of calling for the career attitude maturity. This study has significance in that the study found out respective subfactors of career value and calling for the improvement of career attitude maturity of nursing students, and in that the study provided the basis to help nursing students having difficulty in career development in the future.
