플립드러닝(Flipped Learning)을 활용한 한국어 읽기 교육 방안 연구 : 학문 목적의 베트남인 중급 학습자 대상으로

This study aims to provide insights into the use of flipped learning in Korean reading education for intermediate-level Vietnamese learners. The study aims to examine whether this approach is effective as a teaching method for essential courses in undergraduate Korean language programs. Based on a survey of the status of Korean language education in Vietnam and areas for improvement, the study aims to develop a suitable Korean reading education method for Vietnamese learners. The purpose of the study is to analyze the application of flipped learning in Korean reading classes and to explore ways to improve the flaws of flipped learning classes that remain in previous studies. To establish a systematic instructional design theoretically, the PARTNER teaching and learning model was referenced for use in Korean reading classes utilizing flipped learning. The following is an overview of each chapter. In Chapter 1, the purpose and necessity of the study were described, and previous studies related to reading education for Vietnamese learners and flipped learning were reviewed. Through previous studies, the difficulties that Korean language learners experience in the Korean language learning process were identified, and the results showed that reading ability is the most frequently used function in academic performance for learners with academic objectives. In addition, it was found that flipped learning can implement an ideal teaching and learning model suitable for foreign language education classes, but there have been no studies on flipped learning teaching methods in the field of reading education for Vietnamese learners with academic objectives. In Chapter 2, the theoretical background of flipped learning and Korean reading education will be presented through a literature review. The concept, process, and methods of reading education and the concept, characteristics, and design model of flipped learning will be discussed. The educational effects and issues of flipped learning will also be examined. In Chapter 3, the current status of Korean reading education at Vietnamese universities will be analyzed. Next, a survey will be conducted to investigate Vietnamese learners' perception and satisfaction with flipped learning and Korean reading education. Through the survey, the factors that affect Vietnamese learners' Korean reading ability, limitations, learner demands, perceptions of flipped learning, and opinions on Korean reading classes utilizing flipped learning will be examined. By analyzing the results of a survey of the status of Korean language education and learner demands in Vietnam, appropriate directions for improvement will be identified. In Chapter 4, specific lesson plans and topics for Korean reading education will be selected and developed to conduct an experimental class with 8 Vietnamese intermediate Korean language learners (KFL), divided into two groups of 4 for a total of 4 sessions over 4 weeks. Objective results will be analyzed through pre- and post-level evaluations, and the learners' opinions on the class will also be collected. In Chapter 5, the results of the review of the flipped learning model for Korean reading education and the limitations of the study will be summarized to conclude the research. Through this research process, the study aimed to select appropriate reading texts and topics that could be applied to Korean reading education for enhancing learners' language ability and critical thinking skills in daily life. The use of flipped learning to present a class model is significant, and it is hoped that this study will contribute to discussion-based classes for academic purposes. Keywords: Vietnamese Korean learners, flipped learning, Korean language education, reading education, Korean reading education for academic purposes 본 연구의 목적은 학문 목적의 베트남인 중급 학습자를 대상으로 한 한국어 읽기 교육 현장에 플립드러닝을 도입하는 문제에 대한 나름의 통찰을 제공하는 데 있다. 플립드러닝을 활용하는 방법이 학부과정 필수 교과목으로서의 한국어 읽기 교육의 교수-학습 방법으로 효과적인지 여부를 살펴보고자 하는 것이다. 이를 기반으로 베트남인 한국어 중급 학습자를 대상으로 베트남에서의 한국어 교육 현황과 개선할 점을 조사한 뒤 베트남인 학습자들에게 적합한 한국어 읽기 교육 방안의 하나를 모색해 볼 것이다. 이를 위해 한국어 읽기 수업에서 플립드러닝 수업을 적용한 기존의 모형들을 우선 분석하여 기존의 연구들에 남아 있는 문제점들의 개선 방향을 찾아보려 한다. 플립드러닝을 한국어 읽기 수업에 활용하기 위한 방안으로 본고는 PARTNER 교수-학습 모형을 참고하여 체계적인 교수-학습 방법을 설계하고자 하였다. 1장에서는 연구의 목적 및 필요성을 기술하고 베트남인 학습자를 위한 읽기 교육 연구와 플립드러닝 관련 연구를 검토하였다. 선행 연구 검토를 통해 학문 목적의 한국어 학습자들이 한국어 학습과정에서 겪는 어려움을 파악하였으며, 그 결과 학문 목적 학습자들의 경우 읽기 능력이 학문적 수행 과정에서 가장 많이 사용하는 기능임을 알 수 있었다. 또한, 플립드러닝이 외국어 교육 수업에 적합한 이상적인 교수-학습 모형을 구현할 수 있음에도 불구하고 지금까지는 이 교수법이 학문 목적 베트남인 학습자들을 위한 읽기 교육 분야 연구에서 제대로 다루어지지 않았다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 2장에서는 문헌 연구를 통해 플립드러닝과 한국어 읽기 교육에 대한 이론적 배경을 제시하였다. 읽기의 개념, 과정과 읽기 교육 방법 그리고 플립드러닝의 개념, 특징, 설계 모형을 알아보고 플립드러닝의 교육적 효과 및 문제점에 대해 검토하였다. 3장에서는 지금까지 진행되고 있는 베트남 대학에서의 한국어 읽기 교육 현황을 분석하였다. 나아가 베트남인 학습자의 플립드러닝과 한국어 읽기 교육에 대한 인식 및 만족도를 조사하였다. 설문조사를 통해 베트남인 학습자의 한국어 읽기에 영향을 미치는 요인, 한계점, 학습자의 요구 그리고 플립드러닝에 대한 인식, 플립드러닝을 적용한 한국어 읽기 수업에 대한 의견들을 살펴보았다. 베트남에서의 한국어교육 현황과 학습자 요구도를 조사한 후 그 결과를 분석함으로써 적절한 개선 방향을 모색하려는 의도였다. 4장에서는 플립드러닝 한국어 읽기 수업 모형 및 교수-학습 모형을 설계하고자 한다. 플립드러닝이 전통적인 수업과 비교하여 얼마나 효과적인지를 검증하기 위해, 한국어 읽기 수업 주제들을 선정하고 구체적인 수업 계획을 제시하여 실험 수업을 개발하였다. 이를 바탕으로 베트남인 중급 한국어 학습자 8명을 모집하고 4명으로 이루어진 2개 그룹으로 나누어 4주 동안 총 4차시의 모의 수업을 진행하였다. 사전과 사후 수준 평가를 통해 객관적인 결과를 도출함으로써 실험 수업 모형의 유효성을 높이려 노력하였다. 5장에서는 플립드러닝 한국어 읽기 수업 방안에 대한 결론 및 연구 한계점을 정리하였다. 이상의 연구 과정을 통해 플립드러닝을 적용한 한국어 읽기 수업 모형이 한국어 학습자의 언어 능력과 사고력 향상에 적합한 교수-학습 방법이 될 수 있음을 확인하고자 하였다. 나아가 구체적이고 효과적인 플립드러닝의 적용 실례를 제시해 보려 한 데에 나름의 의의가 있다고 판단한다. 이 연구가 학문 목적 베트남인 중급 학습자의 읽기 수업 과정에 하나의 대안이 되기를 기대한다. 주제어: 베트남인 한국어 학습자, 플립드러닝 , 한국어 교육 , 읽기 교육 , 학문 목적의 한국어 읽기 교육
