      • 炭素網에 一定反復荷重이 作用할때 High Tensile Load가 疲勞强度에 미치는 影響

        Fatigue tests were carried out on smooth specimen of 0.42% carbon steel by applying cne high tensile load or periodic high tensile loads during uniform load cycling, and the results were discussed on the basis of variations of plastic strain range at cyclic load and surface obserbations during load cycling. The main conclusions obtained are summarized as follows : 1) In the fatigue tests with one high tensile load during stress cycling, the high tensile load corresponding either to below the yield point (б_(H) =38㎏/㎟) or to 6% strain (б_(H)=57㎏/㎟) of the virgin specimen nearly does not influence the fatigue life. 2) In the fatigue tests with periodic high tensile load during uniform stress cycling, applied each 1 × 10^(4) cycles, was considerably decressed to the fatigue life. 3) In the fatigue tests with one high tensile load and periodic high tensile loads during uniform stress cycling, the plastic strain range at cyclic stress alter high tensile load tend to reduce in comparison with the prior plastic strain range. In the case of б_(H)=38㎏/㎟ tend to increase-decrease- increase phenomen, in the case of б_(H)=57㎏/㎟ tend to nearly equal to the plastic strain range of virgin specimen. 4) As mentioned above, the correlation between plastic strain range and fatigue life does not exist.

      • Association of Serum Uric Acid Level and the Development of Metabolic Syndrome in Middle-aged Korean Men : A 5-year Follow-up Study

        Objectives: Elevated serum uric acid (UA) has been known to be associated with the prevalence of metabolic syndrome (MetS). However, few studies have examined whether serum UA levels have been actually associated with the prospective development of MetS. Accordingly, we carried out a prospective study to evaluate the longitudinal effects of baseline serum UA levels on the development of MetS. Methods: A MetS-free cohort of 14,906 healthy Korean men, who had examined the MetS components for a medical check-up program in 2005, was followed until 2010. MetS was defined according to the joint interim statement of the International Diabetes Federation Task Force on Epidemiology and Prevention. Cox proportional hazards models were performed. Results: During 52,466.1 person-years of follow-up, 2,428 incident cases of MetS developed between 2006 and 2010. After adjusting for multiple covariates, the HRs (95% CI) for incident MetS comparing the second quartile to the fourth quartile of serum UA levels vs the first quartile were 1.07 (0.91-1.26), 1.19 (1.01-1.41) and 1.42 (1.22-1.66), respectively (P for trend <0.001). These associations were also significant in the clinically relevant subgroup analysis. Conclusions: Elevated serum UA levels were independently associated with future development of MetS during the 5-year follow-up period in Korean men. 목적: 혈장 요산의 증가는 대사증후군의 유병률과 연관되어 있는 것으로 알려져 왔다. 그러나, 혈장 요산 수준의 대사증후군의 전향적 발생과 실제적으로 연관되어 있는지여부에 관한 연구는 드물었다. 따라서 우리는 대사증후군의 발생에 대한 기저 혈장 요산 수준의 경시적 효과를 평가하기 위한 전향적 연구를 수행하였다. 방법: 2005년에 건강검진 프로그램에서 대사증후군의 구성요소를 검사한 14,906명의 대사증후군이 없는 한국인 남성 코호트를 2010년까지 추적하였다. 대사증후군은 미국심장학회와 세계당뇨병연맹의 진단기준을 따랐고, 콕스 비례위험 모형을 시행하였다. 결과: 52,466.1 인년 간의 추적에서 2006년부터 2010년 사이에 2,428 건의 대사증후군 발생례가 생겼다. 다변량 보정 후의 1사분위 혈장 요산 수준과 비교한 2사분위부터 4사분위까지의 위험비(95% 신뢰구간)는 각각 1.07(0.91-1.26), 1.19(1.01-1.41), 및 1.42 (1.22-1.66)였다(P for trend <0.001). 이러한 연관성은 임상적으로 밀접한 하위그룹 분석에서도 역시 유의하였다. 결론: 5년 추적기간 동안 한국인 남성에서 향후 대사증후군의 발생은 증가된 혈장 요산 수준과 독립적으로 연관됨을 알 수 있었다.

      • Gene Ontology를 이용한 마이크로어레이 데이터의 유전자기능 분석 시스템의 설계 및 구현

        Microarray data includes tens of thousands of gene expressions simultaneously, so it can be effectively used in identifying the phenotypes of diseases. However, retrieval of functional information from large-scale gene expression data is still a time-consuming task. In this paper, we propose an efficient method that identifies functional categories of differentially expressed genes from a microarray experiment by using the Gene Ontology(GO). Our method is as follows: (1) The expression data set is first filtered to include only genes with mean expression values that are differed by at least 3-fold between the two groups. (2) Genes were then ranked based on the t-statistics. The 100 most highly ranked genes are selected as informative genes. (3) The t-value of each informative gene is imposed as a score with the associated GO terms. High-scoring GO terms are then listed with their associated genes and represent the functional category information of the micro array experiment. A system called HMDA(Hallym Microarray Data analysis) is implemented and validated on publicly available micro array data sets. Also, our results were compared with the original analysis.

      • TFT-LCD용 Photo-Mask 의 처짐량 보정장치 개발에 대한 연구

        Photo-Mask is Fused-Silica glass with transfer pattern by the lithography process. Recently, as technology advances, TFT-LCD and Photo-Mask are larger at the same time. As the Photo-Mask is larger, deflection occurs at the center due to self-weight. The effect of deflection difficult for high resolution in lithography process. In the Current domestic production of 5th TFT-LCD, but the Photo-Mask depend entirely on import from Japan(Canon). Whereupon, domestic enterprise are increasing the burden of the import price and localization of the deflection compensation device is required. Photo-Mask deflection compensation device was designed in the form of frame type and material is aluminium. Deflection compensation is measured using Keyence Laser displacement sensor and Measurement interval is 85 mm. Verified through experiments Photo-Mask deflection due to Self-Weight is the 250 ㎛ and to obtain high resolution is required to maintain the deflection deviation of 5~8 ㎛. In this study, the Photo-Mask deflection compensation device and compensation measuring equipment were developed thus succeed in localization.
