ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to compare high school teachers’ perceptions of results of the college scholastic ability test in Jeonlabukdo. SPSS 17.0 was used for quantitative data analysis. Results were as follows ; First, teacher satisfaction at student achievement in CSAT varied with the regions, school types, and their educational levels. For example, their satisfaction according to region was ordered from Iksan, Gusan, Jeonju , rural areas, and small towns from the highest to the lowest. In addition, teachers in foreign language high schools had higher satisfaction to those in general high schools, alternative schools. And teachers with graduate degrees satisfied more on CSAT results than others with bachelor’s degrees. Second, male teachers put more efforts than female teachers when revising school curriculum after they analyzed their students’ results of CSAT. Also, levels of teacher effort were different by regions: Iksan, Jeonju, Gunsan, rural areas, and small towns. In addition, teacher satisfaction was ordered according to school types from foreign language high schools, general high schools, and alternative schools from the highest to the lowest. Third, people(Parents, Alumni association, and School Council)’s interest in results of CSAT was different by gender, regions, school types, and their educational levels. This study may have implications on future research. First, similar research could be conducted with more samples because data in this study were only collected in the Jeonlabukdo area. Second, future study might need to include more samples from different school types. Third, questions in the survey could be added, so that future research can investigate various factors including satisfaction, improvement, effort. Fourth, implications from this study should be discussed to help people make more effective policies. In addition, I would make special suggestions for the betterment of high school teachers’ satisfaction, improvement in school curriculum, and the interest of Parents, Alumni association, and School council. First, future research should be conducted to investigate ways of reducing the difference in high school teachers’ satisfaction on results of CSAT by regions. Second, discussions need to be conducted in regard to creative curriculum and various ways to implement it such as teaching methods. Third, officials in school districts should be involved to bring attention from Parents, Alumni association, and School Council in regard to results of CSAT.
