        The study was done to investigate Scrophularia buergeriana Miquel's effects in the genomic level, we measured gene expression in hyperthyroid induced rats using cDNA microarray. The results were obtained as follows; 1. In thyroid tissue, the numbers of the genes showed over twice increase and decrease in the control group compared to the normal group were 296, in the Scrophularia buergeriana Miquel administration group compared to the normal group were 859 and in the hypothalamus, the numbers of the genes showed over twice increase and decrease in the control group compared to the normal group were 416, in the Scrophularia buergeriana Miquel administration group compared to the normal group were 391. 2. By the administration of Scrophularia buergeriana Miquel, in the thryoid the expression of thirteen genes include Rat NADPH-cytochrome P-450 oxidoreductase reduced and the expression of twenty genes include Calcitonin/calcitonin-related polypeptide increased. 3. By the administration of Scrophularia buergeriana Miquel, in the hypothalamus the expression of twenty nine genes include Insulin-like growth factor 2 receptor increased. 4. By the administration of Scrophularia buergeriana Miquel, the expression of the parathyroid hormone/parathyroid hormone, thyroid hormone response protein, Thyroid transcription factor 1 and thyrotropin releasing hormone receptor which were reduced by Sodium levothyroxine in the throid tissue increased. 5. By the administration of Scrophularia buergeriana Miquel, the expression of parathyroid-like peptide, parathyroid hormone/parath yroid hormone and thyroid hormone response protein which reduced and increased by Sodium levothyroxine in the brain tissue were normalized. According to the above results, it is suggested that Scrophulari a buergeriana Miquel suppress hyperthyroidism effectively and regulate the gene expression in the thyroid and brain.

        The Effects of Danggwisaeyeoktang(當歸四逆湯) on the Hypothyroidism of Rats To study the effects of Danggwisaeyeoktang(當歸四逆湯) on the hypothyroidsm induced by thiouracil in rats, T3-uptake content, T3 content, T4 content, TSH content, hematological values, enzyme acti- vity, total cholesterol content, Na+ content change in the serum and body weight were measured . The following results were obtained. 1. In the serum T3-uptake content, Danggwisaeyeoktang treated group showed significant increase in comparison with control group. 2. In the serum T3 content, Danggwisaeyeoktang treated group did not show significant increase in comparison with control group. 3. In the serum T4 content, Danggwisaeyeoktang treated group sho- wed significant increase in comparison with control group. 4. In the serum TSH content, Danggwisaeyeoktang treated group showed significant decrease in comparison with control group. 5. Hematological values were shown with valuable change in Dang- gwisaeyeoktang treated group. 6. In the serum enzyme activity, the Serum CPK, ALP, LDH con- tent was shown with valuable decrease in Danggwisaeyeoktang treated group. 7. In the serum total cholesterol content, Danggwisaeyeoktang trea- ted group showed significant decrease in comparison with control group. 8. Serum Na+ content was shown with valuable change in Dang- gwisaeyeoktang treated group. 9. In the body weight, Danggwisaeyeoktang treated group showed significant decrease in comparison with control group. From the above results , it is suggested that Danggwisaeyeoktang is available to the hypothyroidism induced by thiouracil in rats. There- fore, Danggwisaeyeoktang seems to be applicable to disease releated to hypothyroidism in clinics.

      • 신장장애인 가족스트레스와 대응방법에 관한 연구

        The present study attempts to consider stress undertaken by the family of the people with renal disability and their coping strategies. Based on these considerations, the purpose of the present study is to propose a basic data needed in the efforts of giving professional help to the family, and to find a method of providing them with emotional, psychological support. To accomplish this purpose, the author conduct literature review centering on both domestic and international articles and books on the family and stress model, and the stress coping strategies to provide a theoretical foundation. Based on the review, a survey was conducted to examine the stress factors of these families and their coping strategies. Collected data was analyzed using the SPSS/Win 10.0 (Statistical Package for Social Sciences). The methods of data processing according to each research questions are as follows. First, frequency and descriptive statistical analyses were carried out to determine general characteristics of the people with renal disability and their families. Second, the means of the independent groups were compared to examine the family stress dependent on the general characteristics of the people with renal disability and their families. The significance of the resulting difference in the means was analyzed by ANOVA. Third, the means of the independent groups were compared to examine the family stress coping strategies dependent on the general characteristics of the people with renal disability and their families. The significance of the resulting difference in the means was analyzed by ANOVA. The result of the study can be summarized as follows. 1. As a result of conducting ANOVA there was a significant difference in the stress of the family by the following characteristics of the disabled: gender, handicapped registration, present job, sick period, monthly medical cost, qualification as a subsidiary recipient, period of treatment, average monthly income, job before the disease, religion, number of the family living together, and the changes in the job before and after the disease, and by the following characteristics of their family education, age, and the qualification as a subsidiary recipient. 2. As a result of conducting ANOVA, there was a significant difference in the stress coping strategies of the family by the following characteristics of the disabled: handicapped registration, present job, age, education, religion, and their qualification as a subsidiary recipient; and by the following characteristics of their family: their relationship with the disabled, and their age. Based on these findings, the author recommend the following plans for supporting the kidney disabled and their families: 1) economic support compensating the loss in the economic activities caused by renal disability; 2) support for the job continuation of the disabled, and; 3) construction of a support system that helps the disabled and their families immediately after the incidence of renal diseases. In the course of the study, there was a difficulty in surveying the family of the disabled because many of them had already divorced. The subjects of the study were the families of the disabled limited to those taking them to the hospital for treatment regardless of whether they are divorced or not. So, it didn't deal in detail with the cases of divorced families - that is, their stress and coping strategies. But, in the process of the study, it was found that substantial support system was required to prevent family crises immediately after the incidence of renal disability. Consequently, it is recommended that separate studies should be conducted on the divorce rate of the people with renal disability as well as its causes and the point of time. Based on these considerations, systematic and consistent support services or programs should be developed to reduce stress of the families supporting the people with renal disability and to help them to lead their family life in more stability.

        In reviewing the medical field of our country, and compared with the medical environment of advanced countries, our actuality is not in systematic settlement. For instance, in the midst of the unestablishment of the given condition on supply and demands of medical services, illustrated by irrational medical insurance system, "1~2 hours waiting time and 2~3 minutes diagnosis", degeneration of management in small and medium scale hospitals and the increasing disputes on medical accidents, the reform of diagnosis system and demands of rignts on national health are spreading day by day. The variation of demands and supplies on medical services and of the development of medical techniques have influenced upon the management of hospitals. That is, the up-ward tendency of medical fees caused by the high cost of medical instruments, increase of financial expenses by large-scale capital investment and its critical burdens, and the intensification of the competition caused by the participation of newly opened hospitals are influencing together vitally to the management of the hospitals. The cause of these difficult situation is to be estimated in the structural side of medical industry and in the shortage of superior medical services. So, to solve these problems, it can be attained only by the improvement of national medical policy and the actual reform of each hospitals. In this standpoint, we must grope the device for competitive strengh through many-sided and various marketing activities to ensure the survival of medical field. After IMF snap, our medical field has been influenced most sensitively without exception by its cold wave. It is environed by the mist through which it can't be seen even within an inch distance, occured by those elements such as nonpayments of several hospitals, shutdowns of great numbers of hospital sickrooms. Moreover, drug materials and diagnosis utensils which have been relied upon imports have became difficult to be supplied owing to the rise of exchange rate of dollors, and it's stocks are going to be used up and the number of patients are decreasing visibly day by day. In this circumstances, there must be a revolutional breack of hospital management faced with present crisis. First : The improvement in diagnosis services should be performed through Quality, Satisfaction, Performance and Technique. Second : Care Mix and Amenity creation must be practiced in medical field. Third : Home hospitals closely adhered to districts should be performed. Fourth : Recruitment services, considered for old aging and planing in home nursing must be prevailed widely. Fifth : Revolutional diversion of concept on the side of hospital manager and the consciousness as common-existing on all staffs should be required.

      • 3D Depth Camera를 활용한 노인 치매 예방 실감콘텐츠 제작에 관한 연구

        최근 인구 고령화가 가속되면서 치매 환자가 급격하게 증가하고 있어, 치매 환자의 삶의 질 저하와 부양가족의 고통, 사회적으로 막대한 비용이 발생하고 있다. 누구도 예외가 될 수 없는 치매 문제에 대해 국가는 사회적 대응체계 구축, 예방치료 기술 개발, 치매 관리 전문시설 신설 등 적극적인 대응방안을 마련하고 있다. 특히 약물기반 치매치료제 대체를 위해 인공지능, 빅데이터, 가상현실 등 다양한 ICT 첨단 기술을 활용하는 비약물적 디지털 치료제 개발에 대한 연구가 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 실감콘텐츠는 직접 가보기 어렵거나 불가능한 장소를 가상현실 기술로 구현하여 간접체험이 가능하며, 일상생활에 필요한 활동을 게임 형태로 즐기면서 치매의 예측진단 및 예방치료에 활용되고 있다. 그러나 지금까지의 치매 예방 실감콘텐츠는 기기 착용에 대한 거부감 및 불편함, 개인 구매 시 큰 비용 부담, 운동 및 활용 요소 부족 등의 문제점이 있다. 본 논문은 노인들이 장비를 착용하지 않고, 신체의 움직임 및 뇌 기능을 복합적으로 활용하여 운동과 인지기능 향상에 도움을 줄 수 있는 치매 예방 실감콘텐츠 제작 방법을 제안한다. 3D Depth Camera를 활용하여 노인 특성에 맞는 동작 인식 방법을 제안하여 장비를 착용하는 불편함을 없애고, 익숙한 게임형 활동 콘텐츠를 설계하여 제공함으로 쉽고 재미있는 체험이 가능하도록 하였다. 제안 방법은 저비용의 사용이 간편한 효과적인 치매 예방 실감콘텐츠 개발에 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

      • LabVIEW를 이용한 지능형 전기트래킹 및 전기아크 인식 시스템 연구

        In this study, we introduce electrical tracking associated with the flow of leakage current on insulator in the case of wet and contaminated condition and also electrical arc. We design electrical tracking and arc recognition system by using LabVIEW. LabVIEW is given as the platform and development envitonment for the visual programming language for National Instrument. LabVIEW is commonly used for data acquisition, instrument control and industrial automation on a variety of platforms such as Microsoft Window, UNIX, Linux, and Mac OS. First, from the viewpoint of hardware we design electrical tracking and arc generation circuit by electrical tracking and arc circuit diagram. Then we acquire eight feature extractions from the leakage current and the electrical arc current by using LabVIEW, NI-c-DAQ 9172 and NI 9239 module. Secondly, from the viewpoint of software two patten recognition algorithms based on Fuzzy Neural Networks are described. One is given as the RBFNNs. It use structural findings about training data expressed in terms of partition matrix resulting from fuzzy clustering that is Fuzzy C-Means (FCM). The network is constructed as connection weights of constant between the hidden layer and the output layer. The architecture of networks discussed here embraces three functional modules reflecting three phases of input-output mapping realized in rule-based architecture, namely condition part, conclusion part and inference part. The other is depicted as internal Type-2 Fuzzy Neural Networks(IT2 FNNs). It consist of four layers such as input layer, fuzzification layer, inference layer and defuzzification layer. In the fuzzification layer, it is constructed by Type-2 fuzzy clustering as the role of an activation layer, it is constructed by Type-2 fuzzy clustering as the role of an activation function. In the inference layer, the interval Type-1 fuzzy set is used as the connection weight. In the defuzziffication layer, a crisp output is finally obtained. These networks can be expressed as a collection of "if-then" fuzzy rules. The two pattern recognition algorithms of the proposed networks are optimized by means of the Particle Swarm Optimization. The parameters of the networks (such as learning rate, momentum coefficient and fuzzification coefficient) leads to the preferred networks architecture. 본 연구는 절연체에 습기나 오염된 상태에서 누설전류와 연관되어 있는 전기 트래킹과 전기 아크 소개하고, 전기 트래킹과 전기 아크 인식시스템을 LabVIEW를 이용하여 설계하였다. LabVIEW는 National Instruments사에서 개발한 그래픽 언어이며, 다양한 운영체제에서 데이터 획득과 장비제어 및 산업 자동화 분야에서 일반적으로 사용되고 있다. 첫 번째로 전기 트래킹과 전기 아크 회로도에 의해서 전기 트래킹과 전기 아크 회로를 구현하였다. 구현된 회로에서 LabVIEW 소프트웨어와 NI-c-DAQ 9172와 NI-9239를 이용하여 오염된 전선의 누설전류 및 전기 아크 전류를 측정하여 8개의 특징점을 수집한다. 전기 트래킹과 전기 아크 패턴 인식 위하여 두 종류의 알고리즘으로 제안한다. 두 번째로 8개의 특징점들을 두 개의 패턴 인식 알고리즘의 입력으로 사용한다. 하나의 알고리즘은 RBFNNs이며 이것의 구조는 FCM 클러스터링에 기반 한 분할 함수를 활성 함수로 사용한다. RBFNNs은 조건부, 결론부, 주론부 세 가지의 기능적 모듈로 나뉘어 네트워크 구조가 형성된다. 조건부는 FCM 클러스터링을 사용하여 입력 공간을 분한하고, 결론부는 상수항으로 표현한다. 마지막으로, 네트워크의 최종출력은 추론부의 퍼지 추론에 의한다. 또 다른 알고리즘은 Interval Type-2 퍼지 이론을 이용한 IT2 FNNs으로 Input layer, Fuzzification layer, Inference layer, Defuzzification layer의 4개의 층으로 구성된다. IT2 FNNs은 Type-2 FCM 클러스터링을 통하여 생성된 Interval Type-2 Fuzzy Set을 Fuzzification layer의 활성 함수로 사용하고 연결가중치에 퍼지 규칙 후반부의 Interval Type-1 퍼지 집합을 사용한다. 제안된 두 가지 네트워크의 구조는 “If-then"의 퍼지 규칙으로 표현되며 퍼지 추론 메커니즘에 의해 구동된다. Particle Swarm Optimization 알고리즘을 이용하여 제안된 두 가지의 분류기들의 파라미터, 즉, 학습률, 모멘텀 계수, FCM 클러스터링의 퍼지화 계수(Fuzzification Coefficient)를 최적화한다. 마지막으로 제안된 알고리즘을 이용하여 얻어낸 최적의 파라키터를 LabVIEW 프로그램에 적용하여 실시간으로 전기 트래킹 및 전기 아크 인식 시스템을 설계한다. 또한, 제안된 분류기의 성능을 평가하기 위하여 모의 데이터 집합, Wisconsin Diagnostic Breast Cancer dataset에 RBFNNs와 IT2 FNNs를 적용한다.

      • 3차원 脈象 측정 장치 개발에 대한 연구

        Objectives: For a long time, pulse palpation has been widely used all over the world. East Asian traditional medicine have made further emphasis on the pulse palpation, and have tried to make sophisticated structure of pulse diagnosis. To utilize such empirical data, many types of pulse diagnosis machine have been developed. However, spatial features of pulse palpation have not been properly negotiated in the design of pulse diagnosis system. Therefore, I made an array type pulse sensor which is adequate for detection of spatial features of arterial pulse. Materials: Proposed pulse diagnosis system is composed of: ① 55 pin array, ② embossed silicone pad, ③ 55 capillary array containing colored liquid, and ④ a PC camera. Because each sensing area is separated by dams, the source signal can obtained without any crosstalk between unit sensors. Methods: By optically capturing the displacements of columns of colored liquid, I reconstructed the arterial pulse and it’s pressure distribution. Results: The fabricated system showed 2.25mm spatial resolution, 33msec (30Hz) time resolution, and 1.1mm2 measuring area with full dynamic range up to 1.1kgf of applied pressing force. Conclusion: Proposed system would be useful for detecting 2 or 3 dimensional features of arterial pulse.
