경도 정신지체학생의 웹 정보검색 과정에 영향을 주는 학습자요인에 관한 고찰 = A study on the learner's characteristcs affecting the Web searching process of students with mild mental retardation

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 특수교육분야에서 웹 기반 학습에 대한 관심이 증가되고 웹 기반 학습의 필요성에 대한 논의가 점차적으로 진행되고 있지만 구체적인 교육방법이나 전략에 대한 연구가 부족한 것을 지적하면서 중등기의 경도 정신지체학생들이 성공적인 웹 검색활동을 할 수 있도록 지원하기 위해 우선 알아보아야 할 학습자 요인들을 밝히고 교수 전략들을 고찰하고자 하였다. 이상과 같은 연구의 필요성에 따라서 문헌 연구를 통해 첫째, 웹 정보검색의 교육적 활용의 의의를 밝히고, 둘째, 좀 더 포괄적인 의미로서 정보를 찾아내고 사용할 수 있는 능력인 정보 리터러시(information literacy)라는 개념에서 정보검색과정을 살펴보았다. 그런 다음 셋째, 좀 더 구체적인 의미에서 ‘웹 환경에서의 검색과정’을 인지처리과정 관점에서 고찰하고, 넷째, 이러한 과정에서 요구되는 6가지 유형의 학습자 요인을 밝혀보았다. 본 연구는 향후 관련 전문가와 현장의 교사들을 중심으로 실제적이며 체계적으로 적용할 수 있는 정신지체 장애학생을 위한 웹 검색훈련 프로그램 개발을 위한 교수전략과 교수내용의 방향성을 제시하는 기초적인 자료를 제공하였다는데 의의가 있겠다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

In the field of special education, there are increasing interests in and needs for the Web based instruction. It is time to use the computer technology as a means of developing learner’s thinking power, natural cooperation and interaction. Many special education researches suggested that Web would be a very useful instrument for students with disabilities, especially for those who are in the inclusive settings. While many studies have shown the potential usefulness and necessity of using Web for students with disabilities, practical strategies for exploring and applying information for learning have not fully developed so that we need to develop internet Web site methods for the student with mental retardation.
For this purpose, this paper reviewed the studies on the information searching process and learner characteristics on the Web search. First, the significances of Web based instructions and the concepts of information literacy were examined. And then, learner’s characteristics: the prior knowledge on subject, reading and writing abilities, mental model, metacognition, cognitive strategies, and motivations, were reviewed .
Through this review, we developed conceptual frameworks and broad guidelines for developing of Web search strategies for students with mild mental retardation.
