Korea's Outward Foreign Direct Investment to Central and South America

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

As Korea OFDI to Central and South America have increased fairly. Together interest and importance of this area have increased. However empirical research is yet scant. Purpose of this study is to field the gap of need by analyzing antecedents of subsidiary performance Central and South America. This study consider four circumstantial character and three strategy of subsidiary as antecedent of subsidiary performance which is measured as turnover ratio of total asset.
The results show that investment firm size, investment type and subsidiary business year positive influence to performance of subsidiary. However local procurement ratio give negative influence. Interaction between circumstantial character and strategy of subsidiary decrease of influence. Which implies that manager of subsidiary could use centrality strategy in order to catch up the competitor.
