성서에 나타난 종교이념과 디자인의 형식원리에 대한 고찰 = On the Religious Doctrines in the Bible and the Principles of Design

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 자연현상과 물성(物性)이 인간 사고의 패턴 및 행동의 유발과 무관하지 않을 뿐만 아니라 이렇게 해서 형성된 이념이나 사고는 결국 디자인의 생산자나 수용자의 심리와 깊게 연관되어 있으리라는 가설을 증명하기 위해 수행되었다.이를 위해 인류의 문화사에 가장 오랜 동안, 그리고 가장 광범위하게 영향을 끼쳤다고 판단되는 기독교의 종교이념과 디자인의 형식원리를 병치하여 연구하였다.그 결과, 기독교의 종교이념 안에서 디자인의 형식원리에 견주어질만한 수많은 사례들이 발견되었다. 이러한 사례의 발견은, 디자인의 형식원리가 이러한 종교이념과 무관하지 않음을 말해주고 있다는 단순한 주장을 뛰어넘어, 오히려 디자인조차도 종교이념이 지니고 있는 보다 심원한 내용을 소화해낼 수 있어야한다는 것이었다.만일 그렇지 않다면 우리의 디자인 아트웍은 이러한 형식원리의 시녀로 전락될 가능성이 크다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study has been conducted to substantiate a hypothesis that natural phenomena and physical properties are highly associated to do with the induction of the patterns of human thinking and behavior and that the idealism or thought formed in consequence is deeply related to the mentality of design producers and the users. For this purpose, religious doctrines in Christianity, which are considered as having the greatest impact on every side of human cultural history for the longest period of time, have been studied in juxtaposition with the principles of design. As a result, a number of instances which were comparable to the principles of design were uncovered in the religious doctrines in Christianity.The discovery of these illustrations not only surpassed the claim that the principles of design are thoroughly related to the religious doctrines, but also declared that even design should assimilate the context more profoundly than religious doctrines. If not, it is probable that our design art work is lowered to the status of a helpless follower of the principles of design.
