교육목회와 가정의 신앙교육에 대한 고찰

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 교회의 교육목회와 가정의 신앙교육에 대해 고찰하였다. 이 연구에서는 가정의 신앙교육의 중요성과 교회의 책임, 가정의 신앙교육의 기초로서의 은혜언약의 이해, 그리고 교회의 부모교육에 대해 주로 다루었다. 에덴동산에서부터 가정은 지상에서 가장 중요한 교육기관이었다. 가정은 하나님이 제정하셨으며 히브리인들은 결코 교육경험에 있어 가정의 중심성에서 떠난 적이 없다. 부모들은 자녀들에게 민족의 역사와 율법의 계명과 율례를 가르치라는 명령을 받았다. 가정에서의 가르침은 하나님의 백성을 위해 세우신 그분의 경륜에 있어 기본이 되는 것이다. 자녀는 하나님의 선물이며, 부모들은 하나님께 대하여 그들을 가르쳐야 할 책임을 지고 있다. 오늘날 강조되고 있듯이 종교적인 교육은 가정에 대한 관심이 주된 주제가 되고 있다. 또한 부모들은 아동의 첫 번째 교사들이며, 가정은 유대 역사 가운데서 근본적인 교육기관이었다. 그분의 특별한 보물로 선택된 백성 가운데 가정의 아버지는 그분의 말씀을 소중히 여겨야 하며 그 자녀들의 마음속에 그 말씀을 스며들게 하여야 한다. 부모들은 하나님의 율법의 지식을 세대를 이어가면서 귀한 말씀으로 전달해야 한다. 아버지의 권위는 가정에서 절대적이며, 그에게 순종하는 것은 가정의 기초석이다. 그러한 기반에서 자녀가 지혜의 근본인 여호와를 경외하기를 배우는 것은 상대적으로 쉬운 일이다. 부모들은 자녀들의 영성형성을 이룩하는 것이 무엇보다 주된 역할이다. 이러한 영성형성의 목적은 예수 그리스도와 평생에 걸쳐 성장하는 역동적 관계, 곧 그리스도인들이 예수 그리스도의 형상에 일치하도록 도와주고 순종과 봉사의 삶을 살아가도록 도와주는 관계를 이룩하도록 자녀들을 지원하는데 있다. 부모는 자녀들이 주 예수 그리스도의 권위 아래에서 살아가는 것을 배우도록 격려하는 일에 있어 성령과 더불어 사역해야 한다. 교육목회를 통해 가정의 부모들과 자녀들은 교회의 평신도 훈련 프로그램과 주일학교 프로그램을 비롯한 다양한 프로그램을 통한 지원을 받아야 한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper discusses educational ministry of the church and faith education in the home. It deals with the importance of faith education in home and the responsibility of church, the understanding of grace covenant as the ground of faith education in home, and church's education for parents. From the earliest days of the human race in the Garden of Eden the family has been the most important educational agency on earth. It is so designed by God, and the Hebrews never got away from the centrality of the home in the educational experience. Parents were commanded to teach their children the history of the people and commandments and the ordinances of the Law. Teaching in the home was basic in the plan God had for the education of His people. Children were a gift from God, and parents were responsible to God for teaching them. In accord with the principle being stressed today, that religious education is the concern of family. Also parents were the child's first teachers and the home was the fundamental educational institution throughout most of Jewish history. Each father among the people chosen of God to be His peculiar treasure was to cherish His words and to instill them in the hearts of his children. The parents were to hand down from generation to generation the knowledge of the Law of God as something precious for its own sake. The authority of the father was absolute in the home, and obedience to him was its foundation stone. With such a basis, it was relatively easy for the child to learn the fear of the Lord, which is "the beginning of wisdom." Parents take the primary role in the spiritual formation of children. The purpose of this spiritual formation is to assist children in developing a lifelong, growing, dynamic relationship with Jesus Christ, a relationship that helps Christians conform to the image of Jesus Christ and expresses this conformity in a life of obedience and service. Parents must work with Holy Spirit in encouraging their children to learn to live under the authority of Lord Jesus Christ. Church is to assist Christian families through the educational ministry of the church such as diverse programs for laymen and Sunday school programs.
