일반인 대상 동사 문법 사전의 가능성 - 한국어 동사 사전(2021)을 대상으로 - = Exploring the Feasibility of a Verb construction Dictionary Targeting the General Public

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 논의는 󰡔한국어 동사 사전󰡕(2021)의 내용을 개괄하고 동사 문법 사전으로서의 특징을 살펴 그 의의와 한계를 논의하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 위 사전은 한국어 사전 최초로 일반인을 대상으로 하는 동사 문법 사전을 표방하고 있으며 5,000여 개의 대규모 표제어와 15개에 이르는 방대한 미시구조를 포함하고 있다. 가능한 모든 구문 정보를 제시하고 논항 정보를 메타언어를 활용하여 체계적으로 제시하는 등 동사 문법 사전으로서 동사의 구문 정보를 자세하게 제시하고 있다는 데 그 의의가 크다. 그러나 일반인 대상 사전이라고 하기에는 여전히 어려운 문법 용어의 제시나 문법적 설명이 활용에 있어 장애가 될 수 있고 개별 동사의 문법 범주 기술에도 일관성이 재고될 필요가 있다.

It presents a vast microstructure with over 5,000 extensive headwords and 15 detailed elements. Its value lies in its meticulous breakdown of verb syntactic information, systematically providing comprehensive details using meta-language. However, despite its intended audience, complexities in grammar terms and explanations may hinder practical use. Ensuring consistency in describing individual verb categories and the notable absence of adjectives are areas that call for improvement.
Despite some limitations, it's unwise to undervalue this dictionary. The diligent efforts of the compilers, meticulously analyzing each verb, have borne fruit. I believe it'll not only aid future verb dictionaries but also be a valuable asset for learner's and general dictionaries, contributing to their development.
