The purpose of this study is to develop and apply to students an experience-centered educational program in the Marine Natural History Museum that may be applied in the field of highschool education. Also, it intends to investigate changes in students academic self-efficacy and the affective domain with respect to science through the process, and to suggest the strength and weakness of the program as well as plans for the improvement of the program through interview and questionnaire. The subjects of the study were 80 sophomores of N High School in Busan Metropolitan City, who were divided into the experimental group of 40 students and the comparative group of 40 students. As a result of the quantitative analysis, the pretests of the experimental group and the comparative group showed no statistically significant meaning, which indicates that they were groups of the same quality. There was no statistically significant difference between the pretest and the posttest for the comparative group; however, there were significant differences for the experimental group, which shows that experience-centered education in the natural history museum, which can be applied to the field of school education, has effects on biology education for high school students. Therefore, if the program is adjusted and supplemented according to local characteristics, a learner s age, and the subject of education, it will become more effective museum education for diverse visitors to the museum as well as in the field of school education. Further, it is necessary to add more subjects and contents to develop a detailed Natural History museum educational program that can be applied to the field of school education.
