경제성장모형의 시계열 검정: 아시아 국가 사례 = Testing the Solow-Swan Growth Model with Time Series Data: Evidence from Asian Developing Countries

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 솔로우 모형의 구조모수가 안정적 시계열이라는 가정에서 출발하여, 솔로우 모형의 비균제 상태를 묘사하는 간명한 선형 방정식을 도출하고 장기 시계열 자료를 사용하여 솔로우 모형을 검정하였다. 인도, 인도네시아, 일본의 자료를 활용한 결과, 기본모형에서는 모형의 함의와 자료사이에 상당한 일치성을 보이나, 인적자본이 변수로 포함된 경우에는 일치성이 줄어드는 경향을 나타내었다 이론 모형과 자료와의 괴리를 고려하기 위해 차분하여 추정한 결과 일치성은 유지되었고, 강건성 검정도 희망적인 결과를 볼 수 있었다.

This paper provides results from testing the predictions of the Solow-Swan model using time series data. The primary aim of the paper is to develop empirical versions of the Solow-Swan model that are useful for understanding the growth process of individual economies. A number of time series models derived from the Solow model are presented and then estimated using annual data for India, Indonesia and Japan. We find that the results are largely consistent with the model. However, data give limited support to the model when human capital is included.
