This qualitative research was guided by the phenomenological approach using Max Van Manen research procedures. During the review of the literature, it became known that the fact that many studies focused on children or people suffering from any disorders or post-traumatic syndrome, and not on adult employees of any institutions, gives rise to this study. The study was aimed at studying the lived experience of art making in stressful situations of Russian school employees in Korea. The main issue of the study is: what is the meaning and essence of the lived experience of stress reducing art making. Nine Russian language school employees in Korea were selected for the study. They have experience in art making for stress reduction and provided at least 3 samples of their artwork. Participants must work in Korea, and agreed to voluntarily participate in the study without any incentives, other employees who did not meet this criterion were not qualified for this study. The authenticity of the study was measured by methodological congruence and continual availability in the form of interviews, literal translation of all the words of the participants, reflexivity, audit trail, data accuracy and data saturation. All data were recorded and then analyzed to determine the essence of the lived experience of stress relieving art making stress relieving participants in the study. The results of a study conducted for the concept of the essence of lived experience of art making by Russian employees in language schools in Korea will be useful to art therapists, academic professors, HR managers in companies and students for understanding the lived experience of art making research participants.
