사복의 애도와 효, 그리고 우리의 참회 = Sabok's Condolence and Filial Duty and Our Repentance

Sabokbureon reflects Silla people's wish that one's filial love would not get shaken by any risks and lose its direction, always getting renewed amid all these. The Buddhist monk Ilyeon said that all the many stories about Sabok were untrue after listening to them except for Sabokbureon, in which he saw Silla people's filial love.
This study discovered Sabok's condolence and filial love based on his love for others in his entry into the Yeonhwajang world with his mother as a completion of their Samse ties. His condolence and filial love for his deceased mother based on his love for others reflects his filial love of respecting and mourning his mother as another person herself. In his filial love, he fully remembers and remains loyal to his deceased mother without any realistic conditions. It was filial love of coexistence and symbiosis in which he allowed his deceased mother to live with him along the boundary between the in and outside of his heart without assimilating, absorbing, and projecting her internally through himself. Set up to commemorate Sabok's sublime filial duty by later generations, the Dorang Buddhist Temple is the place where his filial duty was manifested as Silla people reflected on their narcissistic filial duty, dismantled their conditional filial duty, and self-examined and created a new filial duty. Jeomchalbeophoi is a filial ceremony of purifying one''s heart through forgiving and repentance and thus discovering Sabok of respectable and sacred filial duty in the hearts of Silla people.
Sabokbureon is thus a dismantling mirror of some sort that urges people to dismantle their conditional condolence and filial duty in reality constantly and make a one step closer to the traces of complete condolence and filial duty based no love for others in everyday life.
