체육철학 : 제6차 교육과정 고등학교 체육교과서에서 놀이·게임·스포츠의 개념정의(槪念定義)와 ‘규칙(規則)’의 문제 = A Study on Classification of play, Game, and Sport in Textbooks of the 6th National Curriculum for Physical Education

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 고는 제6차 체육교육과정 고등학교 체육교과서에서 나타나는 놀이, 게임, 스포츠의 성격 규정 및 논리를 검토하고, 그 한계를 조명하며, 대안을 제시하고자 하였다. 제6차 체육교육과정 고등학교 체육교과서의 대부분에서 놀이, 게임, 스포츠의 구분 준거로 제시하고 있는 `규칙`의 의미 규정은 자의적인 해석의 가능성이 높다. 특히, 놀이는 `일정한 규칙이 없이` 이루어지는 활동이라는 개념 정의는 놀이와 일상의 구분 문제, 즉 놀이의 공간 성립의 근거를 훼손한다는 점에서 오류를 안고 있다. 따라서, 본 고는 제6차 체육교육과정 고등학교 체육 교과서에 제시되고 있는 놀이, 게임, 스포츠의 개념 정의가 안고 있는 언어적 문제의 분석과 Guttman(1978), Adelman(1986), Bale(1989)의 근대스포츠 규정을 바탕으로 하여, 게임, 스포츠의 개념은 다음과 같이 정의하는 것이 좀더 타당할 것이다. 즉, 놀이는 임의적 규칙(voluntary rules)에 의해 규정되는 활동이다. 게임은 관례화 된 규칙(traditionalized rules)에 의해 규정되는 방식으로 이루어지는 경쟁적 활동이다. 스포츠는 제도화된 규칙(institutionalized rules)에 의해 규정되는 방식으로 신체적 탁월성을 겨루는 활동이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study is a critique of criteria that was classified play, game, and sport in textbook of the 6th National Curriculum for Physical Education. At textbooks of the 6th National Curriculum for Physical Education, especially, rules is prime criterion that classify play, game, and sports. Play is defined as free, voluntary activity that does not exist of a rigid rules. Game is defined as competitive play(or activity) that is controlled by a rigid rule. And, sports is classified as organized, competitive physical activity. But, these criteria is very ambiguous. Because rules as basic criterion is not classified clearly.Therefore, criteria that were classified for play, game, and sport, should be re-defined as follows. Play is activities that is limited by voluntary rules, compromised by participants. Game is competitive activities that controlled by traditionalized rules. Sports is competitive activities, for contest of physical excellence, that controlled by institutionalized rules.
