상하이시절의 이광수와 사회주의― 역술 ｢아라사혁명기｣(1920)를 중심으로 = Lee Kwang-su in the time of Shanghai and Socialism― Focusing on “俄羅斯革命記”(1920)

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

“俄羅斯革命記” of ‘天才’ published serially in Independence Newspaper in the early 1920s is Korea’s first introduction to the Russian Revolution, based on Fuse Katsuji’s 露國革命記(1918). This article paid attention to the background of “俄羅斯革命記” in the context of the practical interests of realm of ideas in the Shanghai, which sought the direction of the independence movement while estimating the direction of world reform at the time immediately after the March 1st Movement. And through a comparative review with Fuse Katsuji’s 露國革命記, I focused on revealing the independent critical mind of “俄羅斯革命記”. For Fuse Katsuji, the Russian Revolution led a global revolution against imperialism and the capitalist class, and was a object of thorough vigilance threatening Japan, one of the emerging imperialist powers at the time, from inside and outside. On the other hand, to the writer of the “俄羅斯革命記”, it was accepted not only as the possibility of independence promised by Lenin’s national self-determinationism, but also as the gospel of human salvation that promised to destroy the old order and build a new world order. In addition, this article is estimates that ‘天才’ is Lee Kwang-su, based on the continuity of the argument before and after “俄羅斯革命記” in Lee Kwang-su’s writing activities in Shanghai, the skill of serial writing and the formality of expression, and the sudden change in tone seen in the same writer’s writings.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

1920년 초 󰡔독립신문󰡕에 연재된 ‘天才’의 ｢아라사혁명기｣는 러시아혁명에 관한 최초의 소개글로서 후세 카츠지(布施勝治)의 󰡔露國革命記󰡕(1918)를 저본으로 하여 역술한 것이다. 이 글은 3・1운동 직후 당대 세계개조의 향방을 가늠하며 독립운동의 방침을 모색했던 상하이 사상계의 실천적 관심이라는 맥락에서 ｢아라사혁명기｣의 배경에 주목하는 한편, 저본인 󰡔로국혁명기󰡕와의 비교 검토를 통하여 ｢아라사혁명기｣의 독자적인 문제의식을 밝히는 데 집중했다. 그리고 󰡔로국혁명기󰡕의 저자에게 러시아혁명이 제국주의와 자본계급에 맞서 세계적 혁명을 주도하며 당대 떠오르는 제국주의 열강의 하나였던 일본을 안팎으로 위협하는 철저한 경계의 대상이었던 반면, 역술 ｢아라사혁명기｣의 필자에게 그것은 레닌의 민족자결주의가 약속하는 독립의 가능성일 뿐만 아니라 나아가 구질서를 타파하고 새로운 세계질서의 건설을 약속하는 인류 구원의 복음으로 받아들여졌음을 밝혔다. 아울러 이 글은 상하이시절 이광수의 집필 활동에서 역술 ｢아라사혁명기｣ 전후 논지의 연속성, 연재 집필의 능숙함과 표현의 정형성, 동일한 필자의 글에 보이는 논조의 급변을 근거로 ‘天才’를 이광수로 추정하고 있다.
