King Chaekgye(r.286~298) of Baekje rebuilded Adanseong Fortress[located in Achasan] and Saseong[Samseong-dongtoseong] provided for invasion of Goguryeo. After the enthronement of King Gwnggaeto(r.391~412), Goguryeo attacked territory of Baekje. As a result, In 396, Adanseong Fortress occupied by Goguryeo. But Baekje counterattack After the Goguryeo`s Army is pulled out of the Hanseong. In 398.3, Baekje occupied Ssanghyunseong Fortress which was located in route of communication at Masingnyeongsanmaek. Naturally, Adanseong Fortress will be reoccupied by Baekje. In 475, King Jangsu(r.413~491) attacked the capital of Baekje which named Hanseong. At this time, King Gaero(r.455~475) of Baekje was sent to the Adanseong Fortress. he had killed there. As a result, Baekje transferred the capital from Hanseong to Ungjin[Gongju-si in Chungcheongnam-do]. In 551~553, Silla occupied the Hangang basin. King Jinheung(r.540~576) patrolled the Bukhansan[located in Seoul]. In 556.7, King Jinheung established Biyeolheulju at Anbyeon-gun in Gangwon-do. Also the next year established Bukhansanju at Bukhansan. With this, Silla consolidated their Terresterial rule in lower reaches of Hangang basin. Silla occupied the control of the Gulf of Gyeonggi. In 603.8, Goguryeo reattacked territory of Silla which named Bukhansanseong Fortress[located in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul]. But that battle also ended in a Victory for Silla. After the battle of Bukhansanseong Fortress, King Jinpyeong(r.579~632) abolished Namcheonju[Ichon-si in Gyeonggi-do]. Instead He reestablished Bukhansanju at north of Hangang. It means that Silla constructed the defense line in Hangang basin. Since territorial battle at the North Hangang basin between Goguryeo and Silla has continued. At this time, Bukhansanseong Fortress[Achasanseong] the best strategic position in Hangang basin. In the end, In 7th century Bukhansanseong Fortress played the role base fortress for block the southward advance of Goguryeo.
