Laws of MS prevalence with gender and ethnic components were similar laws prevalence of obesity: in Russian MS was recorded twice as likely than the Chuvash: 27.8% versus 12.8%, pχ2 <0.001, and women more often than men: 23.3% vs. 12.0%, pχ2 <0.001. Frequency of MS in Russian women (34.9%) was signifi cantly higher compared to Russian men (14.3%, pχ2 = 0.001), while the Chuvash women (16.0%) higher than the Chuvash men (8.0 %, pχ2 <0.001).
