      The Abe Cabinet and the Liberal Democratic Party revised regulations related to education. The Basic Act on Education was revised at 2006, and the the National Curriculum Standard(學習指導要領), which is a standard for authorizing textbooks, revise and notified at 2017·2018. The Basic Act on Education(2006) emphasizes nationalistic virtues, such as respect for Japanese tradition and culture, and patriotism. In this article, I would like to examine how the National Curriculum Standard for high school(2018) changed the descriptions related to Korean ancient history in Japanese history textbooks for high school.
      As before, the National Curriculum Standard for high school(2018) emphasized the organic description of Japanese history and world history and at the same time suggested a specific method of learning development. Accordingly, each publisher's textbook reflected this and changed the composition of the textbook. In the case of descriptions related to ancient Korean history, Jikkyo Shuppan and Shimizu shoin had a greater change than Yamakawa Shuppan and Tokyo Shoseki. Yamakawa Shuppan mostly revised terms and corrected sentences, and Tokyo Shoseki also added only a couple of facts. Jikkyo Shuppan significantly increased the amount of descriptions on the Korean Peninsula-Japan relationship in the 4-5th centuries. As Shimizu shoin significantly refined its contents, the amount of descriptions was reduced, and unlike other textbooks, it deleted the descriptions related to Doraein(渡來人).
