In giving lessons of the physical the position of an instructor differs according to the type of line and contents of lesson. It is generally defined as an established theory that, in case of the rank, the most ideal position of an instructor is the apex of a regular triangle with the length of the front rank used as a base. My experience tells that this has been nothing but a theory which can hardly be applicable to the practice. Believing that this may be caused by some unreasonableness in that theory, a study was made on the four phases such as ①visual field, ②distance, ③volume of voice and, ④difficulty of finding right position. The result led me to the conclusion that in case of the rank, the right angle position is more favorable than the apex of a regular triangle.
