      The main reasons of pipelines failures and their frequencies of failures in different part of the world has discussed. The initial installation cost of YW Pipeline system is calculated through LCC analysis . The year 1967 is assumed to be a base year, the discount rate is 4% and calculation period is 49 years. Water supply system has been divided into different facilities(pipelines, valves, pumps and reservoirs) and pipeline is classified into conveying pipe, transmitting pipe, distribution pipe, supplying pipe by purpose of use. Yearly installation costs of pipeline and total installation cost of each facilitiy is calculated in this paper. As a result, distribution pipes took up around 70.7% of the total initial installation cost in pipeline and pipeline accounted for the majority of the total cost(approximately 85%).
