다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study was performed in 2 times. One (1) confirmed the ideological background and Social Darwinism, volition of modern subjugation of Yang Geon Sik(梁建植, 1889~1944) on the basis of 「西哲康德格致學說」, a translation of philosophical thought of Immanuel Kant(1724~1804) completed by him and the other(2) analyzed the world of his works on the basis of the former study. This also meant the rediscovery of value containing the volition of modern subjugation which resisted against violent modern times cast by Occident. Further, we can face the pieces of thoughts which tried to overcome violent modern times in his life which penetrated through 1910s where evolution and progress, namely, evolution=progress was settled as the law of universality. In this aspect, we expect that the thought and literature of Yang Geon Sik which tried to overcome Social Darwinism that manifested ‘logic of power’ by combining traditional thought of East Asia and Western thought on the basis of Buddhism could be a good example to us now as we re-peruse modern times. In the last dissertation, we confirmed the ideological ground of overcoming Social Darwinism. Based on it, this dissertation intends to confirm modern criticism and its volition of modern subjugation through Buddhist spirit rather than focusing on Social Darwinism. From where does this deep spirit of modern subjugation that got out of simple evolution and myth of progress come? This dissertation had to start from this point. The short work of Yang Geon Sik, 「Statue of Stone Lion」 and 「Sad contradiction」 was mainly analyzed to view the root of his thought and the topography of short novel in 1910s’.
