Mothers of Children with Disabilities tend to get mental difficulties because the mother should perform their duties to not only children's general wants but also other duties caused by particular character of handicapped Child.
So, the mother feels the stress of bringing up children, troubles due to passive relationship, economic burden with educational remedy for her child, responsibility and anxiety about handicapped Child's future. Owing to this, She lost confidence, feels uneasy and get melancholia as parents.
Therefore, social interest and interventional program for the mothers of children with disabilities are more and more needed.
A book is a useful tool to help the mothers of children with disabilities, tending to fall into subjective thought, take an objective view and to treat problems such as a handicap.
The bibliotherapy with such books seems to be able to express frustration and psychological trouble in the process, purify the emotion, supply insight of their behavior, find the solution and reduce the various stress of the mothers of children with disabilities.
The bibliotherapy helps people to get out of worries and anxieties themselves through comparing their problems with others, comforting their own inner wound. and the bibliotherapy leads affirmative and constructive thoughts, get the pessimistic thought away, make their behavior change in interaction with others, so promote effective and safety relationship.
As the bibliotherapy could reduce the emotional, mental stress so that get mental composure, the reading remedy would be effective for the mothers of children with disabilities, in mental difficulties, anxieties, melancholies and low self-respect. The counselors in the past adhere to single approach, however, they are on combinational and eclectic position now. A Integrative counsel remedy is a method, that has no attachment to a theory of certain school, has a view from different angle, and examine things that can provide the profit between a good point of that school and application people. For the mothers of children with disabilities, the integrative counsel remedy would help them to solve various psychological problems they have. The Bibliotherapy has a character that combine well with other counsel because it includes whole process of accommodation, management, expression of information.

Therefore the aim of this research is below.
First, Get a point what mental difficulties the mothers of children with disabilities feels as a matter of fact.
Second, Develop the integrative bibliotherapy program for mental difficulties of the mothers of children with disabilities.
Third, Practice that the integrative bibliotherapy program for the mother of children with disabilities, so examine its effect of that program.
For the achievement of the first research's object, I have interviewed each mothers of children with disabilities, as the result of that, summarized mental difficulties of the mothers of children with disabilities into three things. the first one is the stress. second, anxieties and depression. third, low self-respect.
For the achievement of the second research's object, on the basis of the result of the first research, develop the bibliotherapy program by combining various counsel theories and skills based on the 5 course of the bibliotherapy process suggested by Bath Doll & Caroll Dol(1997).
Set a goal of each time, use the integrative skills through the various mass with medical elements: music, art, story, writing, at the introduction, the center, further activity. and practice the integrative bibliotherapy program in order to see affirmative changes in three problems from the interview.
In choosing a book for the integrative bibliotherapy, select the book with two experts in bibliotherapy, and after a preparatory program, develop this program through consulting an expert about the results got from an effect of program and program evaluation, and revising.
In order to verify an effect of the integrative bibliotherapy, practice this program to 24 mothers of preschool children attending to combined handicapped children's house placed at Seoul, In order to verify an effect of this program, divide the mothers into two groups as a research group and a controlled group.
After the integrative bibliotherapy program begins, a summary of program effect is below.
The stress of the mothers of children with disabilities in a research group is reduced after the program. Observing carefully the results by under factors, psychological stress, social stress and physical stress have reduced. but there was no difference in economic stress and educational stress. However, There is a significant effect in whole stress statistically. So the stress of a research group has been reduced after the program.
Anxiety and depression have also been reduced after the program. but there were no differences in low self-respect of the mothers of children with disabilities. Therefore We can see that integrative bibliotherapy program is effective to the stress of the mothers of children with disabilities.
This research seems to be able to offer basic material to development of various bibliotherapy program for the mothers of children with disabilities through the fact that an researcher investigates psychological difficulties of the mothers of children with disabilities, and perform the content analysis of a group in the internal situation that has no case such as practicing integrative bibliotherapy to the mothers of children with disabilities.
I see that this research has significant meanings as this research connect to the bibliotherapy program for the adult, and contribute to preventive program for their psychological problems
