In the presence of Nalidixic acid, phage adsorption is unaffected and found to be normal. The small burst of phage-infected cells are not due to poor adsorption of phage particles. Lysozyme (20y/ml in EDTA) treatment of free phage particles at 37 during 50 min does not kill free phage particles.
