The Royal Tomb of King Muryeong(武寧王陵) is not only a representative cultural heritage symbolizing the Baekje period in Korea, but also a UNESCO-designated World Cultural Heritage. The Royal Tomb of King Muryeong was found intact among the royal tombs of the Three Kingdoms period, and the only stone with the name of the manager came out. In addition to the royal title of the manager, this stone has a kanji(干支) mark and hole(穿孔). In studies so far, it was assumed that the 24 characters engraved on the stone were azimuth marks, and the hole was presented only as a hole through which the purchased coins of the paper money were threaded, and questions remained unanswered about what letter the missing letter was, what its meaning was, and what the meaning of the hole was. Therefore, this paper intends to help understand the stone of King Muryeong's tomb by examining the restoration of the letters missing from the perspective of geomancy and the meaning of the hole. In terms of feng shui geography, the seat of King Muryeong's tomb is in the shape of looking back, and the geomaniacs of the time thoroughly followed the teachings of Cheongo-gyeong(靑烏經) and Geumnang-gyeong(錦囊經). In addition, it was confirmed that the seven letters representing the west were engraved with 24 azimuths based on the eight-way map of King Mun(文王) on the Ganji, which refers to the 24 azimuths shown on the stone. Comparing this with the location inside the tomb of King Muryeong, it exactly matches the health of the eight-way line on which the king was lying and the konwi on which the queen was lying. Therefore, the seven missing letters in Cheongan and Jiwon are Gon(坤), Sin(申), Gyeong(庚), Yu(酉), Sin(辛), Sul(戌), and Geon(乾), and it can be seen that the stone of King Muryeong was clearly made in accordance with the rules of feng shui geography. Furthermore, the perforation of the Jiseok(誌石) is the astronomical thought of Baekje at the time, replacing the missing letters in the 24th direction in relation to the Big Dipper(廉貞) and the 28th constellation(28宿). In other words, the position of the perforation is Yeomjeong, the fifth position of the Big Dipper, and is presumed to be the position of King Muryeong, who received the city signal of the Yeongdong Daejanggun from the Emperor of the Yang(梁) Dynasty. The absence of an envoy in the tomb of King Muryeong can be said to replace the envoy with 28 constellations and 24 defense positions, and the location of the hole inherent in the Big Dipper.
