한국남성의 국제결혼 선택 체험에 관한 연구 : 파시(Parse)의 인간되어감 연구방법론을 적용하여 = Research on experience of choice in Korean men's international marriage : using Parse's human becoming research methodology

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study, with the research questions; "How are the experiences of Korean men's international marriages? And what are the meanings?"; was carried out to understand their experiences structurally and more in-depth, analyzing their diverse and complicated problems. The materials from online cafe and offline meetings of HanVE-Sarangbang, telephone surveys and interviews of seven participants were analyzed according to Parse's Methodology of Becoming Human, which shows well dynamics and meanings of intersubjective lives. In other words, I collected materials through the "You and I" relationship process between researchers and participants. And, I abstracted contents from the languages of the participants to those of the researchers, made the result proposition, picked up the key concepts from the proposition. Lastly, I synthesized these, integrated structually and interpreted conceptually. Through this process, the following seven concepts were extracted from the seven propositions.
(1) Considering marriage to seek new lives out of the wounds of past relationships
(2) Choosing international marriages with the beliefs in marriages and expectations of not being denied
(3) Playing their roles, recognizing their identities within the process of making relationship despite of the difficulties in marriages without any preparations
(4) Expecting stable relationship, feeling hurt and frustrated about wives' family
(5) Becoming tired of disappointment and frustration in mutual relationship
(6) Drawing blueprints for the future with confirming emotions and trusts
(7) Hoping their lives last with positive minds on their choices and efforts
Through above, the experiences of Korean men's international marriages are like the next.
Korean men consider marriage to seek new lives out of the wounds of past relationships, choose international marriages with the beliefs in marriages and expectations of not being denied, play their roles recognizing their identities within the process of making relationship despite of the difficulties in marriages without any preparations, expect stable relationship, feeling hurt and frustrated about wives' family, become tired of disappointment and frustration in mutual relationship, draw blueprints for the future with confirming emotions and trusts and hope their lives last with positive minds on their choices and efforts. The conceptual integration of relationship issues were imaging of valuing, empowering, originating and transforing the process of enabling-limiting, connecting-separating, and revealing-concealing. For Korean men who chose international marriages, those were the best to improve their quality of lives, and we found out that the stability from marriages and the supports from family made them happy and affected improving self-regard. Therefore, I propose the way to help them from choosing international marriages to the process and stable marriage lives to social welfare fields and expect follwing studies.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 “한국남성의 국제결혼 선택체험은 어떠한 것인가? 그 체험은 어떤 의미를 가지는가?”라는 연구질문을 가지고 그들이 겪는 다양하고 복잡한 문제들을 이해하고 분석하여 당사자의 체험을 구조적으로 심층적으로 이해하기 위하여 실행되었다.

자료는 한베사랑방 온라인 카페·오프라인 정모, 전화 등의 자료와 자발적인 참여의사를 보인 총 7명의 면담 자료를 활용하여 상호주관적 삶으로서의 역동성과 의미를 잘 나타내 주는 파시(Parse)의 인간되어감 연구방법론에 따라 자료를 분석하였다. 즉, 연구자와 참여자의 “나와 너”의 관계 과정을 통해 자료를 수집하고, 참여자의 언어에서 추출한 내용을 연구자의 언어로 추상화하여, 이를 종합한 결과 명제를 만들고, 명제에서 핵심개념을 뽑아 낸 후, 이를 체험의 구조로 종합한 다음 발견적 해석단계를 통해 구조적 통합과 개념적 해석과정을 거쳤다. 분석과정을 거쳐 일곱 가지의 명제에서 다음과 같은 일곱 가지 핵심개념이 추출되었다.

(1) 지난날의 관계의 상처에서 새로운 삶의 모색으로 결혼을 고려함.
(2) 결혼에 대한 신념과 거부당하지 않으리라는 기대로 국제결혼을 선택함.
(3) 준비 없이 선택한 결혼생활이 어려우나, 관계형성의 과정 안에서 자신의 정체성을 인지하며 자신의 역할을 해 나감.
(4) 아내의 원 가족중심에 서운함, 좌절을 느끼며 안정된 부부관계를 소망함.
(5) 호혜적 관계에 대한 실망과 좌절로 지쳐감.
(6) 감정의 확인과 신뢰로 미래에 대한 청사진을 그려감.
(7) 자신의 선택과 노력에 대하여 긍정적인 마인드, 의지로 이 삶이 지속되기를 희망함.

이를 통해 한국남성의 국제결혼 선택체험의 구조는 다음과 같다.
한국남성의 국제결혼 선택체험은 지난날 관계의 상처에서 새로운 삶의 모색으로 결혼을 고려하고, 결혼에 대한 신념과 거부당하지 않으리라는 기대로 국제결혼을 선택하여 준비 없이 선택한 결혼생활이 어려우나, 관계형성의 과정 안에서 자신의 정체성을 인지하며 자신의 역할을 해 나가고 있으며, 아내의 원 가족 중심에 대해 서운함, 좌절을 느끼며 안정된 부부관계를 소망하며 호혜적 관계에 대한 실망과 좌절로 지쳐가나, 감정의 확인과 신뢰로 미래에 대한 청사진을 그려가며, 자신의 선택과 노력에 대한 긍정적인 마인드, 의지로 이 삶이 지속되기를 희망하는 과정이다.

이러한 구조를 파시(Parse)의 추상성 높은 개념으로 통합하여 상상화 가치화를 가능-제한, 연결-분리, 노출-은폐하여 독특성과 강화성으로 변형되어 가는 과정으로 재해석되었다.

국제결혼을 선택한 한국남성에게 ‘국제결혼’은 한 개인의 인생발달의 과업에서 자신의 삶의 질을 향상시키기 위한 최선의 선택이었으며, 결혼을 통한 안정, 가족의 지지가 이들의 삶을 행복하게 하고, 한 개인으로서의 자존감 향상에도 많은 영향을 미치고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 따라서, 이들의 국제결혼의 선택에서부터 과정, 현재결혼생활, 미래의 안정된 생활을 유지하고 발전시킬 수 있는 방안을 사회복지실천현장에 제언하고, 다양한 후속연구를 기대 해 본다.
