The Navstar GPS satellite planned to provide continuous and precise position and time information to observers. In this paper, we make a comparative performance of GPS receiver, using noncoherent DLL and TDL as the core parts in GPS receiver, code tracking loop.
The receiver consists of costas loop for carrier lacking, and data recovery circuit for bit-synchronization. Consequently, the receiver using noncoherent DLL is superior to TDL in respect to correlation efficiency.
