『크라잉 게임』에 나타난 아일랜드 신화의 강제적 재생 = The Enforced Rebirth of Irish Mythologies in The Crying Game

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Director Jordan presents a new set of mythologies that collects and organizes the values and philosophies of its members systemically through The Crying Game, which shows political, gender, and sexual conflicts and narratives of modern Ireland. In this paper, along with the coercion of the myth-making and myth-taking process, we argue that the new set of mythologies in this movie is mere enforced reproductions of conservative, male-centered, and violent myth.

조던 감독은 아일랜드를 배경으로 정치적, 젠더적, 성적 갈등과 서사가 풍부한 『크라잉 게임』을 통해 구성원들의 가치관과 철학을 체계적으로 정리한 새로운 신화를 제시하고 있다. 이 논문에서는 이 작품에서 제시되는 신화의 강제성과 함께 사실적으로는 새로운 신화가 아니라 보수적이며 남성 중심의 폭력적이며 강제적인 신화를 재생할 뿐이라는 것을 보여준다.
