The purpose of this study is to identify the influencing factor of venture business performance in Korea. For this purpose the previous study was reviewed and empirically examined the relationship between influencing factors and venture business performance.
In this study, the data are collected from the number of 97 venture busineses that received assistance from the venture capital on the basis of a cluster sampling method. Influencing factors are selected as follows; internal locus of entrepreneur, marketing experience of entrepreneur, product innovativeness, process innovativeness, marketing assistance and technical assistance. As analyses methodology, simple regression analyses and reliability test are employed.
The major findings of this study are as follows;
Firstly, The higher the degree of internal locus of control of entrepreneur, The better venture business performance. But marketing experience of entrepreneur not significantly correlated with venture business performance. Secondly, The higher the degree of product innovativeness and process innovativeness, The better venture business performance. Thirdly, Both of marketing assistance and techinical assistance not significantly correlated with venture business performance.
These findings can contribute to decision-making of potential entrepreneur, policy maker, and venturecapitalist. those may have some implication for researcher.
This study have several limitation such as operationalization of influencing factor, methodology of single model, and sampling method.
Further research with adding influencing factors and random sampling will be needed to improve this study.
