고전시가 교육의 실태와 효율적인 지도 방안 연구 : 정철의 `관동별곡`을 중심으로 = The Study for Educational Status and Efficient Teaching Method of Ancient Poetry - Centering around KwandongByeolgokwritten by Jeong Chul -

국문 초록 (Abstract)

오늘날의 우리나라 고등학생들에게 ‘고전문학’하면 어떤 생각이 떠오르느냐 고 물어보면 그들은 약속이나 한 것처럼 비슷한 답변을 한다. 이구동성이라고 단정해도 될 만큼 고전문학에 대한 학습자들의 인식이 흡사하다. 그들은 고전 문학이 중요한 가치를 지니고 있다는 것을 인식하지 못한다. 그저 구시대의 낡은 흔적으로 케케묵은 유물에 불과하며 어렵고 따분한 나머지 잠만 쏟아지 게 하는 수면제와 같은 것이라고 단정한다. 그러면서도 그들을 더욱 곤혹스럽 게 하는 것은 어렵고 따분해서 피하고 싶은데 대학수학능력시험의 언어영역 문제에서 상당한 비중을 가지고 매년 출제되고 있다는 사실이다. 그리하여 학 생들은 본인의 의도와는 하등의 상관없이 울며 겨자 먹기 식으로 고전문학 공 부에 매달려야 한다. 그들에게 있어 고전문학 작품은 삶을 총체적으로 바라보 고 문화를 향유함으로써 삶의 성숙을 기하는 매개체가 아니라 그들을 입시 지 옥으로 몰아넣는 지독한 대상일 뿐이다. 이처럼 오늘날 우리나라 고등학생들 에게 고전문학은 단지 대학입학시험을 준비하기 위한 고통스러운 통과 의례일 뿐이다.
이러한 작금의 현실을 감안한다면 무엇보다 절실하고 시급한 것은 다름 아닌 고전문학을 그저 어렵고 고통스러운 것으로 여기는 학습자들을 고전문학의 세 계로 끌어들이는 일일 것이다. 그러기 위해서는 학습자들의 흥미를 최대한 유 발시켜야 한다. 학생들에게 고전문학을 공부하는 것은 즐거운 일이라는 것을 직접 체험할 수 있도록 다양한 교수·학습 방법을 개발하여 시도해 보는 것이 다.
본고에서는 학습자들에게 어렵게 느껴지기만 한 고전문학 작품을 친근하게 접근할 수 있도록 선학들의 연구 성과를 토대로 <관동별곡>의 교수·학습 모 형을 개발하고 이를 적용하여 학교 현장에서 교사들이 직접 적용하고 응용할 수 있도록 구체적인 교수·학습 과정안을 구안하도록 하겠다.
본고의 주안점은 학습자들의 흥미를 유발하여 <관동별곡>에 대한 선입관이 나 편견, 거부감을 줄이고자 하는 데 있다

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

If questioning Korean High School Students of nowadays that what do you get some idea into their head for ‘ancient literature’, they give a similar answer as if they make a promise each other. The recognition of learners for ancient literature is exactly as alike as concluding with one voice. They don’t recognize that it has important value. They just conclude that it is nothing but an old-fashioned relic as old traces of the old era and it is equal to sleeping drug to make them feel sleepy in an excess of difficulty and languidness. But to make them look embarrassed, it is fact that the ancient literature has been taken a great deal of the linguistic questions in the national college entrance test every year. So, students should stick to studying the ancient literature in the way of biting and bullet regardless of their intention. For them, the works of ancient literature is not a vehicle to mature their life by looking at their life in general an enjoying the culture but just a vicious object to drive them into exam hell. Like this, the ancient literature is just the distressing rite of passage in order to pass the national college entrance test for them.
Considering the recent realities, the most sincere and urgent thing is to draw the learners who think that the ancient literature is still difficult and painful into the world of the ancient literature. To do so, it is important that their interest must be caused as much as possible. That is, it develops and attempts various teaching and learning method so that students go through the enjoyment of study for ancient literature.
The purpose of this study is to develop and apply the teaching and learning model of <Kwandongbyeolgok> based on the results of former scholars’ research so that the learners approach friendly to the works of the ancient literature that they feel difficult, and to plan the concrete teaching and learning course so that teachers apply and adapt the model at school by doing so.
The keynote of this study is to decrease a preconception, a prejudice and rejection for <Kwandongbyeolgok> by causing the interest of learners.
