      이 연구에서는 4차 산업혁명의 도래로 ICT 환경 변화에 선제적으로 대응하고 유망 신기술, 신산업을 이끌 수 있는 창의적이고 혁신적인 인재양성을 담당하는 연구중심 대학원을 중심으로 대...

      이 연구에서는 4차 산업혁명의 도래로 ICT 환경 변화에 선제적으로 대응하고 유망 신기술, 신산업을 이끌 수 있는 창의적이고 혁신적인 인재양성을 담당하는 연구중심 대학원을 중심으로 대학원의 교육과정, 교육방법, 교육환경 등의 운영 현황을 파악하고 대학원 교육의 성과와 문제점을 분석하여 대학원 교육 혁신 방안을 제시하고자 하였다.
      이를 위해 먼저 대학원 제도 변천 과정과 대학원 제도 운영에 대해 살펴보았다. 우리나라의 경우 대학원 제도의 성립이 비교적 최근에 이루어졌으며, 일반대학원보다는 특성화대학원, 전문직 대학원 중심으로 확대되었다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 대학원 관련 지원 법령을 마련하고 제도적으로 이를 뒷받침할 수 있는 정부의 재정지원사업이 본격적으로 시작된 2000년대에 들어서 비로소 대학원 제도 발전이 이루어지고 있으며, 최근에는 4차 산업혁명과 같은 사회 변화에 대응하여 연구중심의 일반대학원 확대가 빠른 속도로증가하고 있다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 특히, BK21 FOUR와 같은 재정지원사업을 통해 장기에 걸쳐 막대한 예산을 투입하여 연구 역량을 강화하고 대학원 학사 운영 혁신을 위한 제도 개혁이 추진되고 있다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.
