한나는 왜 아들을 원했는가?: 새로운 세상에 대한 염원

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 한나의 기도(삼상 2:1-10)를 통하여 한나가 아들을 원했던 이유와 그 아들을 통해 궁극적으로 바랬던 것을 이해해 보고자 한다. 첫째, 한나가 살았던 사사시대의 정치적인 혼란함, 도덕적인 타락, 영적인 부패는 왕에 대한 열망을 증폭시켰음을 알 수 있다. 둘째, 한나가 간절히 원했던 아들을 낳은 후에 드린 찬송과 감사의 기도가 사무엘상 2장 1-10절이므로, 한나의 기도와 한나가 아들을 간절히 원한 이야기가 서로 연결되었음을 알 수 있다. 셋째, 사무엘상 2장 10절에 언급된 ‘왕’과 ‘기름부음을 받은 자’는 하나님에 의해 사무엘을 통하여 세워질 왕권제도를 복선하고 있다. 하나님의 마음에 합한 자인 다윗 왕으로 시작하여 그의 후손으로 이어지고, 다윗의 후손으로 오신 예수 그리스도가 세우실 하나님의 왕국으로 계속 확장하여 종말에 있을 마지막 심판 날에 그 나라의 궁극적인 완성이 이뤄질 것을 예고하는 것이다. 넷째, 한나와 다윗이 지은 두 시편은 사무엘서에서 중요한 해석학적 열쇠를 제공하는데, 그것은 비록 인간의 눈에는 의와 공의가 실천되지 않고 하나님의 주권이 없는 것처럼 보일지라도, 하나님의 주권은 여전히 역사하시며 그분이 선택하신 왕과 도래할 메시아를 통해 온 세상을 의와 공의로 통치하는 때가 올 것을 보여준다. 결론적으로 한나가 아들을 그렇게 간절히 원했던 것은 자신이 낳은 아들을 통해 펼쳐질 새로운 세상에 대한 염원과 기대 때문이었으며, 그 아들을 통해 세워지는 왕권제도를 통해 사사시대의 혼란함이 물러나고 온 세상이 의와 공의로 통치되는 평화의 역사가 이뤄질 것을 고대했기 때문이라고 볼 수 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study will examine Hannah's prayer (1 Sam. 2:1-10) to understand why she wanted a son and what she ultimately hoped to accomplish through him. First, the political turmoil, moral decay, and spiritual corruption of the time of the Judges amplified the desire for a king. Second, Hannah’s prayer of praise and thanksgiving after the birth of her longed-for son is in 1 Samuel 2:1-10, so it is clear that Hannah's prayer is connected with the story of her longing for a son. Third, the “king” and “anointed one” mentioned in 1 Samuel 2:10 are referring to the institution of kingship that God would establish through Samuel. It would begin with King David, a man after God's own heart, continues with his descendants, and expands into the kingdom of God that Jesus Christ, a descendant of David, will establish, foreshadowing its ultimate consummation at the end of time on the day of the last judgment. Fourth, the two psalms of Hannah and David provide an important hermeneutical key to unlock the book of Samuel, showing that even though righteousness and justice are not practiced, the time will come when God will rule the whole world in righteousness and justice through His chosen king and the coming Messiah. In conclusion, Hannah’s desire for a son was due to her longing and anticipation of the new world that would unfold through her son, and that through the kingship system that would be established through her son, the chaos of the Judges would be put to rest and the whole world would be governed with righteousness and justice.
