초등학교 사회과 교육과정에 나타난 다문화교육의 논리 = The Approach of Multicultural Education in Revised 7th Elementary Social Studies Curriculum

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구는 다문화교육의 목적과 접근 방식에 대한 이해를 기초로 하여 사회과 교육과정의 실제를 검토하고 있다. 2007년판 개정 초등학교 사회과 교육과정에 나타나고 있는 다문화교육의 논리를 분석하였다. 뱅크스는 다문화교육의 접근 방식을 기여적인 접근법, 부가적인 접근법, 전환적인 접근법 그리고 사회 행동 접근법 등 네 가지 유형으로 구분하였다. 분석 대상을 검토한 결과, 교육과정 개정의 취지와 운영 방식은 부가적인 접근법을 보이고 있다. 학년별 교육내용의 상세화 결과를 보자면, 전환적인 접근법과 사회행동 접근법이 시도될 가능성이 나타나고 있다. 개정 교육과정은 다문화교육의 관점에서 전면적으로 재구성되어 있지는 않고, 부가적인 접근법에서 전환적인 접근법으로 이행하기 위한 과도기적 상태로 판단되어진다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study is to examine elementary social studies curriculum based on the logic of multicultural education. James A. Banks proposed the perspective of multicultural education as contribution approach, additive approach, transformative approach, and social action approach. In revised 7th social studies curriculum, the intention of revision and implementation method show the contribution approach. Transformative approach and social action approach present in the specification process of educational content. The approach of multicultural education in the revised 7th social studies curriculum is a transitional state in the move from additive approach to transformative approach.
