The past decade in Ghana has witnessed a growing number of registered cooperative due to the increase intervention aimed to support cooperatives in the country. However, despite the number of education and training offered to these cooperatives to enhance their capacity, about 36% of this registered cooperative remains dormant. (Department of Cooperative report, 2019)This study therefore assumes that education and training of cooperatives influences the level of their governance and performance. An analytical framework is proposed to enhance the understanding of the relationship between education and training, governance, and performance. Based on the proposed framework, the hypothesis that education and training affect governance and performance of cooperative is empirically tested.Findings from the linear regression and the simple slope analysis bring to light significant effect of education and training on cooperative governance and performance.
