The purpose of this study is to raise the job performance of certification management agents and contribute to the promotion of volunteer service by identifying the job satisfaction level of social welfare voluntary works certification management agents and what the factors that have effect on job satisfaction are. To make this possible, the questionnaires have been distributed targeting the certification management agents working at the social welfare voluntary works management center. Among these, 148 copies were used in the final analysis and the data was analyzed by using SPSS WIN 15.0.
The results of this study are summarized as follows.
First, as a result of analyzing the difference of job satisfaction according to individual factors of survey candidates, a significant difference was shown in the age factor while a significant difference in the job satisfaction was shown between groups in their thirties versus forties and older.
Second, as a result of analyzing the difference of job satisfaction according to the agency factor of survey candidates, a significant different was shown in the existence of social worker license and job type.
Third, as a result of performing regression analysis in order to examine the effect on job satisfaction of social welfare voluntary works certification management workers, the job factor (β=.493, p< .001), supervision of superior (β=.222, p< .01) and possession of class 1 social worker license (β=-.232, p< .01) were shown as having significant effect on job satisfaction.
Based on these results, several things will be suggested for the job satisfaction improvement of social welfare voluntary works certification management agents.
First, it is necessary to assign more specialized role to social welfare voluntary works certification management agents. Assigning specialized roles such as the certification management agents planning‧executing‧evaluating the programs directly, the needs as a specialist would have to be filled.
Second, a specialized supervision for social welfare voluntary works certification management agents is necessary. Not only the agency where the certification management agent is working, but the plans to present a systematic and specialized supervision would have to be prepared at the central and local social welfare voluntary works management headquarters performing the social welfare voluntary works certification business.
Third, the full-time placement of social welfare voluntary works certification management agents is necessary. Also, the use of inefficient administrative power where the volunteer service record is entered by repetition would have to be reduced as various volunteer service management systems such as the Ministry of Public Administration and Security and the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family including the Ministry of Health and Welfare become combined as one system as soon as possible.
Although this study is at a probing stage because the previous researches on social welfare voluntary works are still lacking, it could be considered as having significance from the fact that it is a substantial study on the role and job satisfaction of social welfare voluntary works certification management agents.
