박물관 전시공간의 심리평가 방법과 분석지표에 대한 고찰 = A Study on the Psychological Evaluation of Method and Analysis Indicator of Exhibition Space in Museums

In the modern society, the museum is getting more important that effective communication between exhibited items and the audience. Moreover, because such viewing environment is ultimately evaluated based on the communication of spontaneous participation and viewing of the audience - the users - their unique psychology must be understood and taken into consideration. However, looking at the trend of previous domestic studies done on the relationship between museum exhibition space, exhibited works, and the audience, making studies systematically dealing with exhibition space and viewing environment from the perspective of the audience - the actual users and evaluators - relatively lacking. As a result, this study suggested the objective to compare and organize studies previously done on psychological assessment of domestic exhibition spaces, as well as , and at the same time, suggests the advisable direction for future research through comparative investigation of foreign research. Studies on museum exhibition space and the audience began in earnest domestically in 1995 and starting from 2003, they have been actively underway fueled by the importance of psychological assessment of exhibition space. The present study analyzes the recent trends of that, and at the same time, it performs comparative investigation into psychological assessment method of museum exhibition space and analysis indices to understand the results of research on psychological assessment of museum exhibition space up to the present and finds out where it stands now. This study is significant from that aspect that it suggests a future research direction as well as the need for improvement in the direction. Moreover, it is hoped that this thesis can be utilized as one source of reference of methodological data for future research carried out based on the findings of this study when setting up analysis indices and applying assessment methods during research related to psychological assessment of museum exhibition space.
