The purpose of this study was to investigate the degree of riskiness caused by lack of exercise according to the characteristics of physical fitness related to grown-up male`s health and to propose a guide for exercise prescription needed to prevent it as minimum as possible. A hundred seven male subjects at the age of thirties, forties and fifties were recruited to measure physical fitness related to health. As a result It was shown that all the factors of physical. fitness tended to decrease consistently as the age increased. In particular, the flexibility decreased considerable at the age of forties. the power, flexibility. agility and balance decreased considerably at the age of fifties and the muscular strength tended to decrease as the age increased In aspects of maintenance plan for healthy physical fitness according to the age group. the maintenance of heaths! physical fitness after thirties could be delay of decreasing tendency through the hard training of insufficient physical fitness factors. in this respect, it can be speculated that exercise program according to the age group is emphasized on flexibility training for the forties and power, flexibility. agility and balance training for the fifties.
