Sometimes the rotor is blown up by heat under the overload in the case of the revolving field type synchronous generator different from the permanent magnetic type synchronous generator. In the present, making with over spec is only way to protect the rotor from an accident for the revolving field type synchronous generator. This paper proposes an emergency generator having rotor protection functions. A rotor state detecting device with a RF modem is equipped inside of the generator and voltage, current and temperature of rotor are monitored. As a result, the rotor is protected from over voltage, over current and over temperature.
