      In this paper, the advantages and improvements of non-face-to-face teaching are considered by comparing with the same examples of face-to-face Japanese culture classes using film content. Through this process, ways to promote effective Japanese culture education will be presented in a non-face-to-face environment.
      Real-time online lessons have two advantages : First, real-time interactive conversation is possible. Many students participated in class expressing their opinions through ‘live chat’. Second, interaction with Japanese university students is possible. Although real life interaction with Japanese is key to learn Japanese culture, it is difficult to meet in person. Whereas real-time online classes may realise interaction with Japanese university students in the form of online joint lectures and special lectures.
      Due to the prolonged corona situation, university education can be promoted in the hybrid form of both face-to-face and non-face-to-face learning which will result in improving the quality of education.
