국문 초록 (Abstract)

2022년 2월 한국에 마시모 그라멜리니(Massimo Gramellini)의 장편소설 『아주 오래전 그때는(C'era una volta adesso)』(2020.12)이 『이태리 아파트먼트』란 제목으로 번역되었다. 이 작품은 이탈리아 코로나 초기 2020년 3월부터 6월초까지 코로나 1차 팬데믹으로 피해가 가장 컸던 이탈리아 북부 도시 밀라노를 배경으로 봉쇄와 사회적 거리두기가 일상이 된 세상에서 9세의 소년 마티아가 아파트와 집에서 겪은 3개월여의 시간을 영웅의 모험서사적 시선으로 접근하고 있다. 작가는 도시 봉쇄와 고강도 방역으로 집안에 격리된 마티아(9세)가 이웃과 가족의 의미를 찾고 삶의 태도를 정립해가는 성장소설을 기획한 것이다. 요컨대 본고는 『이태리 아파트먼트』에서 코로나와 격리생활이 이웃과 가족관계에 미친 영향을 통해 소년 마티아의 성장을 살펴본다.

In February 2022, Masimo Gramellini's novel of C'era una volta adesso (2020.12) was translated into the title of Italy Apartment in Korea. In the background of Milano, a northern Italian city that suffered the most from the first pandemic of COVID-19 in the early days of March to early June 2020, Mattia, a 9-year-old boy, approaches the hero's adventure book of three months at his apartment and home. The author planned a growth novel in which Mattia(9 years old), who was quarantined in the house due to urban blockade and high-intensity quarantine, finds the meaning of his neighbors and family and establishes an attitude toward life. In short, this article attempted to examine the growth of boy Mattia through the impact of COVID-19 and quarantine life on neighborhood and family relations in Italy Apartment.
