The purpose of this study was to propose new direction for Father-Adolescent research based on the content analysis of previous studies. To analyze the characteristics of Father-Adolescent research, this study analyzed 19 thesises that were published between 1974 and 2002. The thesises were analyzed on 9 aspects - research area, year, region, research object, research subject, type of measurement tool, contents of measurement tool and analysis method. The 6 aspects to be enhanced are diversity of theoretical research, extension of research scope such as adolescent`s age and areas of research, tacking of more practical problems, development and dissemination of new measurement tools, and diversity of investigation methods. Finally the study discusses its limitations and suggests farther studies to be made on Father-Adolescent researches.
