In this paper, Diesel cars have higher torque and fuel efficiency than gasoline cars, and many vibration and noise problems have been solved, and demand for the market is increasing, mainly in Europe. Diesel cars have problems in that they emit a lot of NOx (nitrogen oxide) and PM (particulate matter) despite having higher thermal efficiency than gasoline cars and lower levels of hydrocarbon and carbon monoxide emissions in terms of emissions. For this reason, the World Health Organization (WHO) announced the emissions of diesel vehicles as a firstclass carcinogen in June 2012. The regulations on automobile emissions around the world are becoming stricter, and the Euro6 regulation, scheduled to take effect in 2014, aims to further reduce NOx by about 55%, although the PM's regulations remain unchanged compared to Euro5.
Recently, in order to reduce air pollutants, the inspection standards for driving diesel vehicles have been strengthened, and to prevent attempts to illegally manipulate selective reduction catalyst devices, NOx (nitrogen oxide) inspection standards have been strengthened, vehicle types to be inspected, and smoke inspection standards and methods have also been improved.
Since the air pollution problem is recognized as a serious issue internationally, internationally, continuous monitoring and response are required through the automobile inspection system. Research is needed to accumulate sufficient data on NOx emissions of individual diesel vehicles operating on actual roads and comprehensively analyze the causes of PM and NOx emissions of diesel vehicles. Through this, a more reasonable evaluation of diesel vehicle emission reduction policies and productive management measures can be prepared.
The emission reduction device is a system for reducing harmful emissions generated by automobiles and includes various technologies and devices. Learn about the operating principle of the emission reduction device.
These reduction devices are integrated into the vehicle to meet Euro6 standards. In the emission inspection mode, various tests are performed to evaluate the efficiency and operation status of these systems. For research purposes, it is important to understand the integration effects of these devices and to develop effective strategies that can be used for follow-up management and maintenance by evaluating performance, especially when various devices operate in combination.
