A Study on the Developmental Trajectory and Predictors of Depression among the Physically Disabled

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 신체적 장애인의 우울발달궤적과 그 예측요인을 파악하는 것이다. 이를 위해 한국복지패널이 제공한 9차년도 패널자료를 활용하여 만19세에서 65세 미만의 성인에 해당되는 신체적 장애인 중 9차년도, 10차년도, 11차년도에 우울 관련 문항에 응답한 189명으로 분석하였다. 분석결과는 첫째, 신체적 장애인의 우울발달궤적은 자유성장모형을 보였으며, 우울 발달궤적이 매년 감소하는 추세로 나타났다. 둘째, 성인 신체적 장애인의 우울발달궤적에 영향을 미치는 변인 에 대해 살펴보면, 우울의 초기값에는 건강상태, 근로능력정도, 가구원수, 가족관계만족도, 주거환 경만족도, 경제활동상태, 자아존중감, 여가생활만족도, 가정생활스트레스가 영향을 미쳤고, 변화율 에는 근로능력정도, 가구원수, 경제활동상태, 자아존중감, 여가생활만족도가 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이에 연구결과를 바탕으로 향후 신체적 장애인의 우울감소를 위한 정책적, 실천적 함의 에 대해 제시하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study investigated the developmental trajectory and predicting factors of depression among the physically disabled in Korea. The data were provided by the 9th,10th, and 11th Korea Welfare Panel Study. The results were as follows. First, the developmental trajectory of depression followed a free growth model at a decreasing trend. Second, health condition, working capability, household, satisfaction in family relationship and housing, economic activity, and stress from family life influenced the initial status of depression, while working capability, economic activity, self-esteem, and satisfaction from leisure activities affected on the change rates. Based on these findings, policies and practical suggestions were discussed on how to deal with depression of the physically disabled.
