      언어병리학적 측면에서 음운인식의 본질적 특성 고찰

      다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

      Phonological awareness relates to speech and language development, and children who lag behind their peers in phonological awareness attainment may need explicit phonological awareness intervention. But studies within the country do not consider syllable structure of native language. Also terms relate to phonological awareness units that be used in internal studies is inconsistent. These issues might disturb in developing phonological awareness assessment tool and intervention program within the country. So this article aims to consideration of the essential property in all of the phonological awareness definition, assessment, treatment aspects by contents analysis and review of literature.
        The conclusion of this study was as follows: First, definition of phonological awareness include input stimulus, distinction from meaning, manipulate range and manipulate units. Phonological awareness is the knowledge of the sound structures that ability to manipulate the syllable and phoneme in spoken words, syllables and phonemes as distinct from its meaning. Second, Phonological assessment must include essential body-coda discrimination, phoneme blending, syllable blending, phoneme segmentation, syllable segmentation, phoneme isolation, phoneme substitution, phoneme deletion and syllable deletion. And these may consider the developmental sequence. Third, phonological intervention might improve not only speech and language ability but also reading and spelling performance.
