원가족 건강성과 부부친밀감 및 고부갈등이 기혼여성의 결혼만족도에 미치는 영향 = The Effects of Family of Origin Health, Marital Intimacy, Conflict between Daughter-in-law and Mother-in-law on Marital Satisfaction in Married Woman

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of family-of-origin health, marital intimacy, and friction between daughter-in-law and mother-in-law on marriage satisfaction. 455 married women residing in Daegu City, Kyungpook and Kyungnam province completed questionnaires assessing family of origin health, intimate relationship of couple, conflict between daughter-in-law and mother-in-law, and marital satisfaction. The data were analysed stepwise multiple regression analysis. The results were as follows: First, marital intimacy and friction between daughter-in-law and mother-in-law had significant effects on marriage satisfaction, but family of origin health had no significant effects on marriage satisfaction, Especially, marital intimacy was the most important predictor of marriage satisfaction, this variable explained 60% variance of marriage satisfaction. Second, the most important predictor of overall sub-dimension of marriage satisfaction was the couple's emotional intimacy. Third, conflict between daughter-in-law and mother-in-law make a negative influence on marital life's problem and couple's discontent. These results imply that modern women's marital life is emphasizing current trend is reflected by couple's reciprocal emotional interaction, love and intimacy, sexual satisfaction more than social role and responsibility.
