<라이온킹>에 나타난 트랜스아이덴티티 캐릭터 연구 = A Study on the Trans-identity Character in The Lion King: Based on the Growing-character who Overcame the Trauma

국문 초록 (Abstract)

성장캐릭터는 주위 상황에 의해 정체성 전환을 한다. <라이온킹>에 등장하는 심바, 무파사, 스카는 어릴 적 비슷한 사건을 겪게 되었을 것이다. 하지만 다른 정체성을 획득하게 되었다. 트라우마중에 가장 힘든 것은 가족 또는 지인의 죽음이라고 한다. <라이온킹>에서 심바는 아버지 무파사의 죽음을 목도했다. 어린 나이에 큰 충격으로 다가왔다. 이를 극복하고 성장한 심바는 전치와 상승초월로 프라이드랜드의 왕이 된다. 트라우마를 극복하기 위해서는 정체성 전치가 필요하다. 다음세대로 넘어가기 위해 무파사와 스카는 하강초월을 맞이하게 된다. 이는 영화 초반에 나오는 <Circle of Life>(자연의 섭리)를 제대로 보여준다. 트라우마를 극복하고 성장한 캐릭터만이 상승초월로 전환될 수 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Growing-characters change their identity according to their surroundings. Simba, Mufasa, and Scar in The Lion King would have had similar incidents as children. However, it acquired a different identity. It is said that the most difficult part of trauma is the death of a family member or acquaintance. In The Lion King, Simba witnessed the death of his father Mufasa. It came as a big shock at a young age. Simba, who overcame this and grew up, becomes the king of Prideland through transposition and ascension. To overcome trauma, identity transformation is necessary. To move on to the next generation, Mufasa and Scar face a descent. This properly shows “Circle of Life” (the providence of nature) from the beginning of the movie. Only characters who have grown up after overcoming trauma can be converted to an upward transition.
