직업 소명의식 형성과 소명척도에 관한 연구 : Duffy et al.(2012)와 Dik et al.(2008)의 이론을 적용한 농업인 소명의식을 중심으로 = A Study on the Formation of Occupational Calling Consciousness and Calling Scale

This study is conducted with a aim of clarifying the process of forming a sense of calling for farmers in order to analyze the proposition that agriculture as a calling.
To this end, this study applied the calling models of Duffy et al.,(2012) to analyze in-depth the source and formation process of calling awareness of agriculture as a vocation. In result, It has been shown that the farmer’s calling consciousness consist of the stage of ‘search for calling’-‘presence of calling’ - ‘formation of calling’ - ‘living a calling’ creating a typical calling formation model. Specifically, It was analyzed that farmer’s sense of calling was triggered by the “unconformity of expectations“ and “false perception“ and that they go through the process of finding, redefining and giving meaning to necessary factors led by the process of justifying efforts. The result of calling formation has been shown through theoretical drives that the calling is carried out through continuous self-regulation and occupational commitment connected to society. This study is meaningful that revealed the reverse side of the formative sense of calling by verifying the process of forming a sense of calling of farmers who have kept their agricultural base in the wave of industrialization by applying it to the theoretical model.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 농업인의 소명의식 형성과정과 소명척도를 통한 소명결과 규명을 목적으로 수행되었다. 이를 위해 Duffy et al.,(2012)의 소명모형을 적용하여 농업을천직으로 인지하는 소명의식의 원천과 형성과정을 심층적으로 분석하고, Dik et al.(2008)이 개발한 소명척도(CVQ)를 적용하였다. 분석결과 농업인의 소명의식은소명탐색 이후 소명인지-소명형성-소명실행의 단계로 구성되며, 전형적인 소명형성모형을 구축하는 것으로 나타났다. 농업인의 소명의식은 ‘기대의 불일치’와 ‘우연한 인식’을 계기로 촉발되어 노력 정당성 효과를 기반으로 한 정당화 과정을 필두로 필요요인 탐색과 재정립, 의미부여의 소명형성과정을 거치는 것으로 분석되었다. 소명의식형성 결과는 사회와 연결된 지속적인 자기조절과 직업몰입을 통해소명이 실행되는 것임이 이론적 동인을 통해 나타났다. 본 연구는 산업화의 파고에서도 농업기반을 지켜온 농업인의 소명의식 형성과정을 이론모형에 적용하여 검증함으로써 소명의식형성의 이면을 밝혀냈다는 점에서 의의가 있다.
