The crystallite size <(004) plane), crystallinity, orientation, breaking strength and breaking elongation of high tenacity nylon 6 fillament annealed with constraind at various temperature of 120℃, 140℃, 160℃, 180℃. 200℃ and various time lengths of 10 secs, 90 secs, 600 sees, and 2,700 secs, were measured by density, X-Ray differaction method and instron.
The results are as follows.
1) The crystalltie size on the (004) plane increased with raising temperature and lengthening time.
2) The crystallinity increased with raising temperature and lengthening time.
It may be caused by grawing of crystallite size on the (004) plane (fiber axis).
3) The orientation and breaking elongation increased with raising temperature and lengthening time.
4) The breaking strength decreasee with raising temperature and lengthening time.
From which, it can be supposed that the chains of molecules in amorphous regions, which are decreased with heat treatment are violently crimped and partially broken, by heat treatment.
