TV 프로그램이 일반인의 부검에 대한 인식에 미치는 영향 = Effects of TV Programs on Public Autopsy Awareness

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 일반인을 대상으로 부검을 소재로 한 TV 프로그램의 신뢰도와 선호도, 그리고 TV 프로그램이 부검 인식에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지에 대해 알아보기 위한 연구로 2022년 4월 11일부터 4월 22일까지 20세 이상 성인 198명을 대상으로 온라인 설문조사를 실시하였다. 연구 도구로는 다양한 매체의 선호도와 신뢰도, 부검에 대한 관심, 부검을 대하는 생각, 부검 필요성으로 작성된 자가 보고식 설문지를 배포하였고 수집된 자료는 SPSS Statistics 22.0 프로그램을 이용하여 분석하였다.

1. 부검을 소재로 한 TV 프로그램 중 가장 선호하는 프로그램은 시사프로그램이며, 가장 신뢰하는 프로그램은 시사프로그램과 다큐멘터리였다.

2. 성인 198명 중 73명(36.9%)이 평소 부검에 대한 긍정적인 관심이 있었으며, 부검을 소재로 한 TV 프로그램 시청 후 85명(42.9%)으로 평소보다 12명(6%) 증가하였다(p=0.608). 특히 비전문직 24명(31.6%)이 평소 긍정적인 관심이 TV 시청 후는 32명(42.1%)으로 평소보다 8명(10.5%)이 증가하였다(p=0.011).

3. 102명(51.5%)이 평소 부검에 대한 긍정적인 생각을 가지고 있었으며, 부검을 소재로 한 TV 프로그램 시청 후 96명(48.5%)으로 평소보다 6명(3.5%) 감소하였다(p=0.011). 그중에서 40대 이상에서 52명(49.8%)이 평소 부검에 대한 긍정적인 생각이 TV 시청 후 45명(43.8%)으로 7명(6%)이 감소하였다(p=0.009).

4. 121명(61.1%)이 평소에도 부검은 필요하다고 느끼고 있었으며, TV 시청 후 162명(81.9%)으로 41명(20.8%)이 늘었다(p=0.000). 그중에서 남성보다 여성에서(p=0.019), 고졸 이하보다 대졸 이상에서(p=0.020), 40대 이상보다 40대 미만에서(p=0.000), 그리고 비전문직보다 전문직에서 부검이 필요하다는 생각이 더 크게 증가하였다(p=0.000).

5. 부검을 소재로 한 TV 프로그램 시청 후 부검에 대한 관심, 부검을 대하는 생각, 부검 필요성과의 상관관계를 분석한 결과 부검에 대한 관심이 커질수록 부검의 필요성을 더 크게 느꼈다(p=0.000). 그러나 부검에 대한 관심 증대나 부검의 필요성 인식과는 무관하게 부검을 대하는 생각은 변하지 않았다(p=0.010, p=0.000).

결론적으로 부검을 소재로 한 TV 프로그램이 부검에 대한 관심을 증대시키고 부검의 필요성 인지에 크게 영향을 미치고 있었다. 따라서 TV 프로그램은 시청자들이 부검에 대해 올바른 인식을 할 수 있도록 제작되어야 할 필요가 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

To investigate the reliability and preference of TV programs about autopsies among the general public, and how TV programs affect autopsy perception, online survey was conducted on 198 adults from April 11 to April 22, 2022. As a research tool, a self-report questionnaire was distributed based on the preference and reliability of various media, interest in autopsy, thoughts on autopsy, and the need for autopsy was used. The collected data were analyzed using the SPSS Statistics 22.0 program.
Among the TV programs about autopsy, the favorite program was current affairs program, and the most reliable programs were current affairs program and documentary. Among 198 adults, 73(36.9%) had a positive interest in autopsy, and after watching a TV program about autopsy, 12(6%) increased. Especially, increase of 8(10.5%) in non-professional occupations(p=0.011) was characteristic. In addition, 102 people(51.5%) who usually had positive thoughts about autopsy decreased by 6 people(3.5%) to 96 people(48.5%) after watching TV. Among them, 7(6%) decreased in those in their 40s or older(p=0.009). Also, 121(61.1%) thought an autopsy was necessary, and 41(20.8%) increased after watching TV. Among them, there was a significant increase in women(p=0.019), college graduates or higher(p=0.020), under 40s(p=0.000), and professionals(p=0.000).
The more the general public became interested in autopsies through watching TV programs about autopsies, the more they recognized the need for autopsies. However, the idea of an autopsy did not change positively. In conclusion, TV program about autopsy has increased the public's interest and greatly influenced the recognition of the necessity of autopsy. Therefore, TV program should provide necessary and truthful information for the right vision of the autopsy for viewers.
